Has anyone been able to figure out this riddle?

Paul Harvey RIDDLE: When asked this riddle, 80% of kindergarten kids got the answer, compared to 17% of Stanford University seniors. What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich need it, And if you eat it, you'll die? I know everyone had to have received this in their inbox at least once. Has anyone been able to figure it out? Since 80% of kindergardeners got the answer, I'm gonna ask my 9yr old when she gets home and see if she can figure it out. It's got me going crazy here. Not that I actually am crazy. -smartazz grin-

The answer is nothing. Hehe i heard this one before ;) Here is one for you though.. The maker doesn't want it. The buyer doesn't use it. The user doesn't see it. I guess if you want the answer you will have to PM me :)

The answer "nothing" makes sense for everything except "the rich need it". Who's to say that the rich need nothing? A rich person may have monetary things, but may be lonely and still need love.

The rich try and buy love. They think money buys everything but find out that it can't always buy love and companionship.

Yea. I've heard this before. I got it right the first time I heard it. =D I guess I am still a kid at heart. =P This reminds us the Nothing is greater than God. =D

I have never heard this before. It might have been a forward that I deleted. I don't have a clue. At first I was going to say a mom is greater than God and more evil than the devil to most kindergardeners but you shouldn't eat it. Lol

I've received this over 20 times in my inbox including the one I got yesterday that finally prompted me to start a discussion on it. lol Figured e1 received it at least once. Could be you deleted it like you said. lol We are adults so maybe that explains why most of us prolly won't know it.
