It's a good site, lot of variety. Most people earn Gift Cards, there is a cash level but it hard to reach. The gift cards can be earned rather quickly and regularly if you are active on a daily basis. I would say it is one of the better writing sites, it is more serious about writing than this site is.

Thanks for making this discussion. I just joined it today and was wondering the same thing. I think I will keep it for a bit but not put a lot on energy on it. Even the Gift Cards I saw were for places I don't know or aren't close to me at all so they aren't very good for me either.

It used to be a writing site. Now it's mainly a trash bin for people who are there only to get points for gift cards or cashouts. You get points for everything--posting games, recipes, jokes, leaving comments, and even actual writing. But unless you're willing to become a "point wh-ore" it's a waste of time for serious writers. If you're looking for interesting articles to read, you have to spend a lot of time wading through the trash to find anything. I write there, but mostly to say things that don't fit on Associated Content or my blogs.

^what he said However, if you do post your writing you can earn.... and it can be traded for actual money.. I put it on my "copypaste" list. Those are a list of sites where I copy paste nonexclusive articles or poetry or summaries of exclusive articles. (1 work, many revenues). Among this list: Gather hubpages squidoo shvoong blogchex blogcharm and of course I put the link to the original article or to my blog or another article in order to get more readers. and then I syndicate the blogcharm "blog" (aka, copies of article summaries and links) to zimbio. This whole process only takes about 5 minutes since it's all copypaste and it does help me earn more pay per page view earnings ^^.
