Do you have a traditional meal that you prepare on New Year's? If you do, what does it consist of? My New Year's meal consists of some sort of greens - preferrably Collard Greens, Black Eyed Peas, a Turkey or Ham, a pie or cake - depending on the time I have to prepare the meal, and Baked Maccaroni and Cheese. I always like to make mac n cheese - no matter what the occasion!! lol. So, what about you?

we usually prepare pasta, ham or hot dogs, and desserts such as cakes for the New year celebrations...

The menu for our family's New Year's feast are Baked Lasagna, Macaroni Salad and a very special fruit dessert. And roasted chicken. Our family really doesn't have a traditional meal every year. Whatever my mother can think of, then that's what we're going to prepare. But one thing is for sure, every one will go to bed with a very full stomach.:)

My mother in law prepares the traditional pork and sauerkraut. I'm vegan so I usually just have some sauerkraut and a couple sweets when I go there. Collard greens, black eyed peas, and pie sounds yummy.

My sister will have black eyed pies for luck. I don't have a special meal that I have every new Years Day.

We like to do appetizers and finger foods for New Year's. My hubby is craving shrimp, and we will probably also have a veggie tray, buffalo wings, little smokies, bagel bites (little bagel pizzas), chips, and dip.

I'm thinking of buying a ham from the honey baked ham place and doing something simple on the side. This is the first Christmas where I wasn't cooking for days on end, we kept it very simple and I'll do the same for New Year's.

As we have roast turkey on Christmas Day, Roast Pork on Boxing Day, for New Years Day we have roast beef and all the trimmings, in the UK we have Yorkshire Puddings which are famous for accompanying beef, vegetables, and gravy, I don't eat roast potatoes but the rest of the family have those too.
