Winter or Summer ? Which one suits you better ?

New Year has arrived and its freezing out here. The chill seems to seep in to the bones making you shiver from the core. The sunlight is either absent or too week to protect you with its warmth. I find winters to be an extremely uncomfortable season for me.Donning too many heavy clothes and boots, sitting around the fireplace, hugging oneself and hoping every coming day to be a bright sunny one. Can't go for cycling and my long musical walks.Nope !! It surely isn't for me. On the contrary, there are members in my family who really love winters because they all are fiery people and find the heat of summer season very unpalatable.I get truly amazed watching them rejoice and all geared up with renewed energy, never getting tired. They say its much better than to sweat and smell all day.LOL I wonder why different people like different seasons. What is it for you? Winter or summer?

Yes, I agree with you it is difficult to withstand the chill when specially the temperature dips to 1.9 degree celcius in New Delhi. It is more comfortable in summer, when we are not required to wear too many clothes and can take bath twice...in winter....one does not feel comfortable taking bath. Have a nice day!

Being that I am a very hot natured person, like some of your "firey" family members, I definitely prefer the winter. I come from the desert area of Arizona and Texas and they are just too dang hot for me. So when winter does come it is a major relief for me. Growing up in Arizona I always said that I would rather be cold than hot because if I am hot, I could get naked and I still wouldn't be able to cool off. Now in the winter you can bundle up and sit in front of the fire and at least be somewhat comfortable...temperature wise. I've always wanted to move to a cooler climate state like Vermont or some place like that just so that I could escape from the heat.

Hi worthy, I think its bit of both for me. Even though I was born in Arunachal Pradesh in a chillest November day, I have never really experienced a frosty, cutting winter as in North India. Since Calcutta is more maritime we do not really feel the cold waves that much. It's pleasant and bearable in here. So I quite like it. Spring time is the best in the calender though. It's cliched but no one can deny the beauty of hued flowers being dispersed by the sweet breeze and of course the golden yellow sun! I can understand your plight for in Delhi its terribly cold and you must be having trying time going outdoor. However, We will get to see you more here in myLot, I guess. That is very much coveted, worthy. Happy winters.

I prefer winter to be honest. The summers here get too hot. I do not like 100 plus degree weather for 3-4 months. Ugh.

well i live in canada and we have such extremes in weather. the winter can get cold with -20 windchills (celcuis) and in the summer we can get well into the 30's with a very high humidex. so i think i prefer the spring and the fall the best!

I love summer better.I love the sun and the warmth and for my physics it's just better. In the winter i don't mind the cold, but the changings from freezing to cold with rainy days and then sun again.I always get lots of headaches in the winter.Like at this moment my head feels like it's exploding.I have less headaches in the summer. And i think the summer is more beautiful because of the flowers and the trees.

I'm most definitely right there with you. Winter, cold, and snow just aren't for me. Someone else can have it all. I'm from Michigan, and we just got about a foot of snow on New Year's Eve. It can go away now. Yeah, it's pretty when it's snowing, but I want it to go away like yesterday. Christmas is over, so the snow needs to disappear! I like my winter coat because I think it's really cute, but I'd rather not wear it seven months out of the year. My sweaters are too bulky and huge. They get in the way like crazy, and wool makes me itch like none other. Summer is ideal for me because I don't need a coat during the day, and at night it's so soothing to take a nice walk when it's just a little chilly outside for a light jacket. I love seeing (and feeling) the sunshine. I know I live in the wrong state, but the beach is one of my favorite places to visit. You can't really take a nice walk on the beach when it's cold out. I also like the summer because I enjoy massive thunderstorms. They really amaze me. I have to make sure I'm not in the shower when the storm hits as I could easily be electrocuted (or maybe I'm just paranoid), but other than that I love the storms. I don't really like tornadoes as much. I'd much rather have the rain and thunderstorms than a blizzard! I guess the other thing that bothers me is when it's so cold out and there's no snow. If it's going to be in the single digits, there has to be snow on the ground. If not, it just doesn't even seem right. Too much snow isn't a good thing, but none at all when the temperature is so low is just wrong. I think part of my problem is that I was born in May, so I was born to be warm. Great discussion. Bring on the sunshine!

you've described exactly my woes so well in your response.no matter how cute and trendy even my winter wears are,i still prefer cotton and light clothes.but no,no massive thunderstorms (luckily we don't have tornadoes here)either.it scares the wit out of me

I think them not suit for me at all, because I both hate hot and cold. And if I must choose one,I choose the Summer. In winter,we must put on many clothes for prevending the wind, the temperature. But it would make me unsmart, and I'm a active boy.

I am not a winter person. I hate the bitter cold, the snow and ice. I live in a part of the country where the summers are humid, making the heat feel worse than it really is. I grew up in a much warmer climate. We did not have the humidity, and when the temperature would reach 110, although it was hot, it was still tolerable. Here, 80 degress with the humidity feels like 115. I'd still take that over the below freezing temperatures we have had the last three days and are expected to continue for another two days. I'd still take the heat over this cold.

I like the summer much better. I hate winter. I dont like the snow and right now we just got hit with about 9 inches of snow so there is alot of shoveling to do. I have a snowblower but I had to go out 2 times yesterday and get it all done. Now this week we are supposed to get warmer weather comming so thats a good thing. I love the heat of the summer. It is Summer definately for me.

Winter suit we better here in south Asia countries. We are living beneath the Sun. So we could not afford to live in Sun shines, especially in hot summer days. Here we get extreme hot season and it becomes very difficult keep our self live in such type of non-friendly season. So we enjoy the season of winter weather. We become glad in winter season.

What a poetical discussion you started here. The discussion about flowery spring season automatically, makes it poetical sentences. I and every one should agree with you. Spring season is one of the best seasons we love it very much. It comes here in our country in February and goes in march. And weather becomes hotter. And say hot summer is coming ahead.
