Why do parents blame tv and video games for their childs bad behavior?

I am so sick of parents always trying to blame the tv and video game industry for their childs bad behavior. The bottom line is parents need to stop using these things as a crutch and step up, and start being parents.

I agree completely! Video games, tv, movies none of it is to blame...My kids are 14 and 12, they play violent vid. games, they watch gory horror movies, they watch graphic tv (the only thing NOT allowed of course is p0rn of any kind) and so on but they are fabulous, gentle, loving kids...why? because I RAISED THEM THAT WAY...they KNOW that entertainment is just that ENTERTAINMENT...I see no reason why a child would follow what is seen on tv or v.gs and become naughty kids IF the parents are doing their damn jobs!

Because parents will never blame their children for their bad behaviour, so they blame the next best thing... And unfortunately, that's TV and video games...
