There are a lot of level or grade during high school or during secondary education. We encounter a lot of projects, and many other programs to prepare us for the university. For me, the subject that I consider the most difficult is trigonometry. I just don't know why but there is really something about the subject that for me is hard to comprehend. What for you is the most difficult subject in high school?

It's trigonometry. I had a hard time staying awake. Our professor talks soooo slow. Her voice seems to be music in my ears then sends me to a deep slumber. I just don't know, well a lot of us fall asleep during her period.

I do find trigonometry difficult. Though the professor or teacher will always affect the learning process, but then, I really find it hard and difficult to comprehend. May it be a good teacher or what, my mind is would really find it difficult to understand the subject.

Yah mentors do affect the mastery of the student on a certain subject. Maybe because it's quite boring and very tedious to study.

Math is a hard subject but due to persistent practices in solving problems,I was able to understand and pass

Well, I guess the saying "practice makes perfect" still applies to all situations. Although perhaps if we find something that is really difficult we could not perfectly do it but it may make the situation a little less harder. Thanks for the reply!

I see, I love history. In fact until now, I love to watch history channel in cable tv since I love to learn and know what happened in the past. I love some math subjects but not all. I always have difficulty with trigonometry during high school.

The most difficult subject for me when I was at school was anything to do with maths. I am now retired and I still have difficulty with it good job we have calculators now

Well, there are really people who find certain subjects difficult. It so happens that in your case its Math. You are definitely right, calculators are a good tool for computing. It does make our computations easier.

Let me refresh my memory first. (lol) It was 10 years ago. Back then, what I don't like the most is science and technology. I hate biology the most followed by general science. I like a little of chemistry since it deals with mathematics which is my favorite subject. I am challenge with physics because it entails analysis and calculation. Those subjects pull me down. I am not the number one student in the class because of those subjects.

I see. I do love physics as well as science. Biology is not one of my favorite considering that I hate those scientific names. Well, each of us have different likes and dislikes. It always depends on what we find easy and comfortable to deal with.

Math is not easy, but i like it. the worst subject i believe is Physics & Chemistry :p History is becomes hard when the topic is not that interesting, like when talking about world war 1, thats history - i love talking about it, but when it comes to the prime ministers of all countries in the world. oh my gosh.. i can't stand history, physics & chemistry hehe

I agree with you. I think our interest thus play a great role in our learning. If we like the subject, we may tend to understand it easily as compared to something that we do not really like. I love history, but chemistry... I really find it hard and difficult.

for me it would be biology and chemistry..because in these u have to learn a lot of scientific names and need to mug up a lot of things

Yes, I do agree with you. It does make you memorize a lot of new and strange words with all those scientific names and classifications.

For me Physics was the hardest subject in high school. I was even forced to take a remedial class because I had trouble passing the tests and understanding the concepts! :(

trigonometry is also my most difficult subject. it is not solving by calculations it's more of proving the equations. on thing i hate the most.

Well, we have the same problem. Luckily I only have one trigonometry subject. In fact it was one of the reasons why I did not took any Engineering degree. I was afraid of meeting trigonometry again!

I do find Geometry a very difficult subject. I was just glad that I was able to pass the subject way back then. I really have not brains for those computations involving geometry problems.

Science - I just hated science!! I was so very pleased when I was told at 16 that I'd never have to do it again. And I still haven't - happy days!

Well, Science for me generally is an interesting subject. Most especially with the experiments. Though, I find the subject difficult, I also found it very interesting. This must perhaps be the reason why I did not find it so difficult. Thanks for sharing and best regards.

I think the most difficult subject in high school was Accounting. I never got the hang of it. I think it was actually good that we had that subject in high school, it helped me to decide NOT to take up Accountancy in college. I just don't know why I can't seem to balance the sheets. I did pretty well in all my math subjects even Trigonometry, but I just can't do the "simple" maths of Accounting. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I also had accounting during high school. I did find it difficult but as compared to trigonometry, I find trigonometry more difficult. I really don't know why but it seems that I am not really good with trigonometry.

I would say that i had a hard time understanding geometry. Back then, we were asked to memorized postulates without really understanding why we have to. It has something to do with the way of teaching also. It is hard to understand geometry without any visual aides. It is hard to imagine angles and things related to geometry.

Hahaha! I definitely agree with you on that. I really had a hard time during high school with regards to geometry subject. I was just wondering how I was able to pass the said subject way back then.

I have no hard times on subject during high school... I love math and average on english... i am also good on other subjects when i study hard... Problem on subjects on college??? i encounter a lot... Math is number one... Algebra is okay but if you miss one number or letter, all your answer is wrong... Trigonometry... wow... thank God i passed that subject... I had a hard times also on english communication 101, 102... Now even though i've encounter those hard times on those subjects... it was helpful and i can use my knowledge in every day life to survive...

Wow, you must be very good. Well, I think each person has its own ability and own favorite. I am glad that you have no difficulty in high school subjects. You are right, the lessons that we have learned from school and from the subjects will definitely help us in our day to day life.

Personally it would be mathematics in general. It is really complicated and not easy to grasp immediately. I know that it would depend also on the way of teaching but based on my own experiences , I have a tough time with mathematcis all through out my school life. I guess that I am not just eager to learn math or not up for it. I envy my classmates who can understand the lesson immediately after it was taught. Honestly, it is from my classmates that I was able to understand the subject as they were able to explain it properly and I am able to follow it, because I was scared to ask my teacher to clarify the lesson. I just dreaded everytime I would be called by the teacher to solve an equation on the board.

Well, I think one reason that sometimes we find it hard to understand a subject is when our teachers does not know how to explain the subject properly. Another reason could be is what you have explained, the fear, I also had such encounter since I have one teacher that we consider a terror way back then.

Well, I am not really good with trigonometry. I go crazy over them. Though I am good with algebra. But most likely if this will be mixed with trigonometry, then I may go crazy. Thanks for the reply.
