There is a commercial out where people have up to 6 monitors connected to their pc which I find ridiculous! I have my printer, web cam, microphone (for talking with my daughter in CA), the cable thing of course, my telephone which I get from Comcast, the cable to my digital camera which I plug in only when I'm loading pictures and the usual keyboard and mouse. That sounds like an awful lot to me! What do you have connected to your computer? A lot of harware or the just minimal amount?

I only have my pair of external speakers(so I can really jam), and my telephone connected to my laptop, ctry. I do use my MP4 USB port whenever I want to add music to my player or photos.

You're one of the few with not a lot connected to your pc and I think that's smart. I feel like I'm the only one in the world without an MP something or other but I get my music from my tv and I'm ok with that.

At home the main computer has 1 webcam, 1 mic, 1 Kodak Camera docking station, 1 printer, speakers, monitor, keyboard and mouse. Oh, and my kid's digital camera when she needs to upload or charge it. At work I'm the main computer guru so I have the monitor, keyboard, scanner, headphones/mic, and 3 printers (2 laser and 1 color inkjet). Tink

One of the reasons I love my computer is the fact that the speakers are inside my monitor giving me less to have to deal with on my desk...lol! Otherwise I don't know where I would put them.

You don't have very much either. I'm not even sure my webcam is connected right now since I only use it occasionally to talk to my daughter.

I must be a very boring person the only thing hooked to my pc is the speakers the keyboad the mouse and my printer. I don't have a web cam I used to have a microphone but I never used it and I don't know what happened toit. I can't imagine having 6 monitors that is alot of electricity.

You're right 6 monitors is ridiculous. The people who have that many are into stocks and use them to keep track of them constantly. I'm sure there are other ways but that's their choice.

I don't know much about laptops but it seems most people who use them don't have much connected to them. Now that's something I like.

My lap top has a built in microphone and web cam. And I don't really need to have a mouse hooked up to it but when I'm at home I prefer the mouse!

Well, if you're doing anything heavy in terms of creating graphics, the multiple monitors makes it easier. But I've never heard of people keeping more than two. Myself, I usually don't have much hooked up. It's on an as needed basis. Scanner, printer, digital camera, external hard drive, and occasionally a monitor for colour correction purposes when I'm working on art since I'm on a laptop.

When you're working on something like graphics I'm sure you need extra stuff that most people don't need. The couple of people I saw who have up to 6 monitors had them because they are into stocks and use them to keep track of them.

I don't have a webcam and my microphone is built in.

I've been thinking about getting a wireless printer just to have less connected to my pc. I wish my microphone was connected to my pc...it would be so much more convenient.

Let's see, 2 printers, a scanner, a camcorder, digital camera, 5 USB drives, a network, a USB mike, loudspeaker system, 21" monitor, video capture devices (2), VoIP phone, 3 UPS systems, 3D projector, USB hubs (3), network switches (2), a Neuros OSD video translator, a front panel soundcard input /output panel. That's all I can think of right now.

I have no other hardware connected to my laptop. If I need to use the printer then I attach it and then take it out when I am done with it, same goes for our digital camera and external hard drive where I store most of my pictures and files.

Besides the necessary hardware, sometimes I will connect my portable hard disk to my computer. And when I am at work, I usually connect my smartphone with my computer. So that my smartphone can charge the battery and it can be also connected with my computer. And therefore my smartphone can be online free of charge.

For my main computer (I have 2 PCs), I have my printer, wireness keyboard and mouse, microphone, webcam, sound system and modem/telephone line connected. I also connect my 2nd PC to this computer via a 480Mbps USB2.0 Netlink cable, and I share internet connection via this link. Occasionally I will hook up to 2 external harddisks to my main PC via USB connection. If I need to download any photos from my digital camera, I just read slot the SD memory card into the cardslot of my PC and do the download easily. Sometimes, I also connect my TV aerial to the TV tuner card if I want to watch or record TV programs on my PC.

Let's see... My LCD moniotr, my stereo (instead of speakers), keyboard, mouse... Old HP Laserjet 1100 printer and Lexmark X5150. I also have USB cables for my digital camera and mobile phone, but use them only when working with these devices, otherwise unplugged.

I think I have less hardware connected to my computer than other people. I have speakers, printer, monitor, one per computer. I might have other hardware but it does not come to my mind right now. I don't have a microphone, I know that michrophones distort and it it harder to hear a person than read it. Nothing beats typing when we chat. I don't need a michrophone, it distorts and makes it harder for me to follow.

I cant imagine making my computer look like an overworked machine by connecting too many hardware to it at a given time but there is one hardware that is always connected to it anytime i am in the house and that is me,cos we are the best of pals,it will not work without me and i cannot work without me,the other hardware always connected to it is a printer and my internet modem
