I just got it. I used McAfee but it was using too much virtual memory, and that's something I don't have much of...

I use AVG antivirus. Ever since I switched to that one I've had absolutely no problems with anything. It seems to catch everything really well. I've had Norton, and other ones I've paid dearly for, but I'd still get stuff and be constantly calling my brother to help me remove virus, etc. I haven't ever had to do that since I got the AVG, I'm extremely pleased with it!

Same one I use. I had symantic, but I always found it a pain to use. Took forever to update, and had issues overall with it. Switched to AVG, and found overall my system runs better. Have to argue with my father that a free anti-virus can be as good as a paid one though.

Im using NAV 2008 right now because it has the best protecttion (in my opinion) and since 2007 NAV doesn't hog resources like in previous versions.

i am using quick heal 9.5 version. its good. iit has many good features such as a good help or support system,DNS scan, and lots more. i even use kaspersky, which detected almost all viruses and worms. a new virus was launched few days back who is supposed to be called as a brother of Brontok. its name is kntokbro. My kaspersky detected that virus too. No matter which antivirus we use, we must update them frequently or should be kept at auto-update mode.

At present and for the last 2 years it has been Pandasoftware.com I have found it to be very effective in routing out viruses and adware before they ever get installed (or even downloaded with Limewire- Ares etc.). 30 day trial, and then one can buy a 1 year - 3 license version for $10.00 through pricewatch. Automatic daily updates.

I am currently using Avast Pro edition. I was using norton but I had so many problems with them. Every time you log onto your pc it comes up with another message and this and that. PLus it slows down you PC alot! Thats when my friend recommended Avast. Its like its not evan their, it doesnt slow it down one bit and terminates every single virus on the pc... well if you choose to that is.

I use Norton antivirus, but also i use some antivirus that can work without being instaled... like antibrontox... i use norton because in my opinion it is powerful antivirus, update almost everyday, and easy to use. But, i have to admit, it is heavy... u need computer with good specification.
