I LOVE chinese food. I would be forever in your debt if you could tell me how to make sticky rice with long grain rice. They don't sell short grain rice anywhere where I live.

HI,I am very glad to meet you,and thanks for your believe. But I have never cooked sticky rice and long grain rice together yet.But I think it's possible, you can try.The methed is same with just cooking the short grain rice that cook them in water, and when you mix them, you shoud use more water in it because sticky rice is more bibulous than long grain rice and short grain rice. In China, sticky rice is always used to make a kind of food name zongzi, and we eat it in dragon boat festiva. The food is very special,we wrap some sticky rice in a piece of leaf and cook it in water, then, when it cooked, unwrap it and eat the sticky rice. The rice is faint scent. Now there are many varieties of zongzi. We always put kinds of food like Chinese date, meat, beans or something in the rice. And then it tastes diffirent but good. There are some photos of zongzi in my photos, you can see it,it's cute!

I like Chinese food as I know it in the United States. I doubt that it is all that much like real Chinese food, but I'd like to try some of your recipes. One thing I've noticed here is that I have never seen a Chinese restaurant that serves breakfast. What's a typical breakfast meal for you?

In China the breakfast is diffirent from areas.Conjee and soybean milk and some dimsum always be breakfast. There is a traditional food call youtio in Beijin,a kind of crispy fried paste like a crabstick. We always eat it with soybean milk.I like it very much. Today, for facilty, more and more YA eat milk and bread as breakfast.

I love chinese food and I just can't get enough of wontan soup. Last year I have this soup for almost everyday in december. In my country we can have a chinese food everywhere as chinese is one of the races in Malaysia. But the problem is that halal chinese restaurant is not that easy to find here. I only know one halal chinese restaurant here in my city that serve a nice food. I think there are more here in my city but then I don't really try to find them as I am sticked to this one more often.

Of course, Chinese food is so delicious especially the Chinese dim sum. In my place, there are some restaurants which are famous of their yummy dim sum. There are many tasty dim sum which I couldn’t refrain from taking them whenever having breakfast at the restaurant, like yam dumpling (wukok), egg tart, siew mai and many others. We are used to take Chinese tea when having our breakfast.

Hi and welcome to Mylot. I love Chinese food...and it would be fun to learn more of some of your special dishes. I know that much of what is served in Canada in many Chinese food restaurants is not indicative of traditional dishes. If you'd care to post some recipes...or give us ideas I am sure they would be well received. I hope you enjoy your Mylotting experiences. It is a great community. Raia

I have always liked Chinese food. Here in Trinidad there are lots of Chinese restaurants and people. Maybe you can tell me some simple things because I cook for myself at home. How to make crabbacks Chinese style and the best way to use oyster sauce are both things I would love to know. There is a Chinese grocery downtown Port of Spain where everything is in Chinese. Maybe you could help me to understand some of these ethings.
