Just finished re-reading Patriot Games by Tom Clancy, never get tired of it, even though I remember exactly what is going to happen. The detail and tension that Clancy manages to get into this book is a joy to read

Do you think the book was as good as the movie?

Book is far better than the film. Much more detail, and more emphasis on the royal characters, as they were the Prince and princess of Wales, and also the American terrorist connection

I am on a Douglas Adams kick right now, and recently completed reading the 5 books in the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" trilogy. I am now about 30 pages away from finishing his book "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency". I then have 2 more of his books to read before I move on to something new. I have many to choose from, but what I actually choose will depend on my mood at the time. Yes, I read the DaVinci Code already too. It IS a great book. I prefer "Angels and Demons", and recommend you read that one as well if you haven't already.

Can I ask did you like books 4 and 5 of the trilogy? I found them a bit pointless and not making a great deal of sense

The latest book I've read was from Robert Ludlum, entitle The Scorpio Illusion. He's now one of my favorite spy novelists. I like him because of the Bourne movies he created. Those movies are superb, i like it so much.

"called to excel" by rex ressurection. A powerful mind setting book against mediocrity.

I have been taking a big, yummy bite out of "Candy Freak" by Steve Almond. It is a fun read about the candy industry in America, namely chocolate bars. What makes it such an interesting book is that it takes an intellectual edge to the love of sweets and is written by a man who not only loves candy but wants to know the whole industry. It is worth reading.

Life Life can be good, life can be bad, life is mostly cheerful, but sometimes sad. life can be dreams, life can be great thoughts, life can mean a person sitting in court. life can be dirty, life can even be painful, but life is what you make it, so try to make it beautiful. by langston hughes

I just finished reading 'Oklahoma Curiousities'. It caught my interest at the local Borders book store, so I picked it up, and thought why not? It might be fun to learn more about my state. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was funny, informative, and never boring. I think it is good to know as much as you can about where you live.
