My top hobbies are traveling, walking and writing. So far I have been to many different countries. I walk some really picturesque routes. I love to write and do some writing every day. Which are your top three hobbies and why? Thanks

My top three hobbies are cartography, I love drawing maps, even from a child I had a very keen interest in maps, my maps are special because I invent places, cities, towns, and most of my maps are train maps, you know the type you see when you are travelling in the UK by train, I learnt to create maps on the computer using illustrator on Mac, I love it and I can spend literally hours creating them freehand. I even put them up on my wall. I also love reading detective novels, have you heard of Rebus? Books by Ian Rankin, well I've got stuck into another of his novels The Hanging Gardens, excellent. I also love watching horror movies, I haven't got an extensive dvd collection but when I'm feeling in the mood I will have a movie night in my bedroom or if there's a good horror movie on Sky downstairs. I am still waiting to see Saw3 and Hostel2 on Sky

Sims has never interested me to be honest, I am not into computer games, I have a little nintendo machine which I use to test my brain power, and check my brain age each day. I love solving word games and maths problems on it but not to play games.

Yes, I agree that cartography is very interesting. I love to look at atlases and maps in other books. I have not drawn my own that often but think it is a very enjoyable thing to do. Train maps are a great thing to draw and I am sure your maps are better than the ones the train companies produce. Detective novels are exciting. Yes, I would like to read The Hanging Gardens.I find horror movies a bit too scary and parts of them can have me hiding under a cushion or even screaming. One of my friends got a Nintendo DS for Christmas and his brain score is 80 but my friend is 32. Wolfie do you think it is easy to improve a brain age in that way. Thanks.

Reading is enjoyable and informative. Craft work is good for your imagination. I am not awfully good at jigsaw puzzles.

Yes, traveling is a fascinating thing to do. I always rushed off overseas and it is only in the last few years that I have wanted to see more of Britain. It is great that My Lot is one of your top three hobbies and you can read and write as much as you like on it. Great.

My top 3..... #1 would be small stakes gambling at the local casino. I love playing the penny and 2 cent slots as well as the nickles. I get a lot of comps from my local casino so I go quite often. #2 would be myLot as I love writing and sharing photos here. I've been here over a year and would be lost without it. #3 would be my model car building. I love doing the detailing such as painting etc. I have a nice collection and am planning on getting a display case for them to show them off in my basement. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Listening to music can be enjoyable and at times exciting or relaxing. Writing poetry must be a lovely thing to do. I can't play any musical instruments and it is wonderful that you can play the guitar.

Reading and writing are perhaps amongst the best things to learn in life. Quilting is an interesting and worthwhile hobby. I do not do very well with needlework but I like to see magnificent looking quilts that other people have made.

Gardening- the enjoyment of watching things grow and the beauty of bringing flowers inside to enjoy, even the weeds I don't mind (within the limit I must say!) lol Reading - There are so many books and authors to choose from these days, and never too late to read some with a bit of knowledge to keep the brain active. I like mostly mysteries and a little romance in between. Cooking- I chose this as no.3 and I have too many hit and misses with my cooking but the ones that turn out I am happy to have tried, and so many different dishes to make, makes such a great challenge.

A Gum Tree - An Australian Gum Tree, one of the few left standing by the Murray River, in the midst of our drought.
This is a good discussion. My top three hobbies would be reading, writing & knitting. I dont knit as much now, as it is a more suitable hobby for winter. I love reading, & prefer historical fiction, although I often read drama nowadays. The writing I prefer is my my family history, which I intend putting in a book eventually. I enjoy writing smaller pieces, such as for My Lot. I do love travelling, but it is not much of an option nowadays, with kids & lack of money.

My top three would be drawing, writing and a few times, I'd be reading. I've been doing that since grade school so I am not sure if I could call it a hobby out of interest. I like to draw since I was small and not yet going to school. I began to write when I learned how to do poems during high school but, when I got to college, all those poems I made seemed awkward. Reading was also developed in college so, now that I'm soon out of the institution, I don't know if things would change or they would remain the same ^_^

My top three hobbies are reading, surfing the net and listening to music. Reading books can get me to different places. It is like entering a different world and be who you want to be. Listening to music makes me feel relax and entertain. Surfing the net is more socializing to other people in other countries.

Reading has to be one of them, and a few years back I used to love sport,I liked athletics, and used to run quite a bit too,but I dont seem to do it anymore.I do like going walking, preferably along the beach and then you can watch the sea as it rolls,if not the seaside then a brisk walk in the open countryside, theres nothing like it.

my top three hobbies are surfing the internet, playing with cats and dogs and watching t.v. I am glad that you had been to many different countries, I hope I can do that in the future too. I also love to write but I am not so inspired, its hard to do it without any motivation. I surf the net coz I dont have any money to go somewhere else, the net is my escape goat, playing with pets because they are fun to be with, they are good friends and watching t.v because I love to learn many different things about other countries and i usually watch discovery and living asia channel.
