Planning for the future

I just bought a whole bunch of flooring to fix up my house :) I'm not building a new one (I wish I could), but I am working on fixing up this one - it is a mess... So, now I have a floor (nice Maple laminate). I plan to put it in this summer - we'll camp out in tents on the lawn until it is done. I also am making a custom wall unit to replace the various bookshelves etc on the central wall. For the eating area I am building a booth-style (like in a restaurant) table and benches (the room is tiny and anything bigger won't fit.
Anyone else doing renovations this year? It will be so nice to have this place one step closer to the nice home it could be.

hi there.. i just want to respond on your discussion. im still just young but i just want to share about what i want for my home to be.. i want my house to be repainted with new colors.. colors that are cool to the eye.. i also want our floors renovated with new fascinating tiles etc.. i like my house to look like a resort of some kind... well anyway you can just ignore about my response.. just want to share something about what i want for renovation.. nice discussion..:D

That sounds neat. I like the natural look. My house is open concept, but is poorly laid out... I want to repaint etc, but for now I have enough projects. Eventually we are looking to add an expansion.
By the way, I don't mind your responding even though you are not renovating right now. Dreams of what you want to create are just as good as doing the real thing except a lot less costly ;)
