Free Websites???

I'm wanting to get my own website. So I wanted some advice. I've heard there are free websites, one being freewebs.com. Is that any good? How hard is it to have a website? I know it can't be as easy as a blog but is it kind of like that? I've done pretty well with getting traffic to my blog so I figured I might as well get my own website set up and help out others with making money on gpt sites as well as work on my referral lines. I've been a member of freewebs but i didn't like it very much. There are two reasons for this, i wanted to upload from a software package i was using (via FTP) and i wanted to be able to have larger file sizes than they allowed. I found www.110mb.com instead, which lets me do both those things and i've been very pleased with it, considering it's free, it's very good. As for creating your site. I prefer using desk top publishing type software which allows you to lay everything out the way you want, and then you just upload via ftp when you're done. A great free program for designing websites is serif web page plus. I use the advanced version, but the free one is pretty good too. It can be found at http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/
The other programs on there are worth looking at too!
