who is tobi?
what are his abilities?
is he a strong akatsuki?
what are his abilities?
why does he wear a mask?
and who is stronger zetsu or tobi?

Tobi is an akatsuki member.
To the rest of Akatsuki he is relatively new and was teamed up with Dedera (sp?), the person who molds explosive clay.
We are still leaning about his abilities and his strengths. So far in the manga they've shown he can use a space/time jutsu and posses the sharingan which would lead you to believe he is Madara Uchiha who is one of the supporting founders of Konoha.
Madara Uchiha is ACTUALLY the true leader of akatsuki and not pain so the rest are led to believe. It is also not confirmed yet if he is Marada Uchiha, but the possibility seems to be high with the latest chapter.
He probably wears a mask to hide his identity since the tone/personality between Tobi and Madara seem totally different...so really he's still a developing character.

but what about the idea that pain is somewhat related to naruto? i mean don't you think that fourth, naruto and pain is somewhat closely related. and do you remember when jiraiya figured out the true identity of pain?

Those who have read the manga...TOBI IS REVEALED! His true identity has been revealed and in the next chapter his true face will be shown. I DO ADMIT...I was deceived and I was wrong.
And Pain being related to Naruto...I highly doubt it. If all spiky hair people were related to naruto...then he'll have one big a$$ family! lol.

tobi is Obito uchiha. time and space jitsu. well of course. he could be one of the strongest akatsuki. to hide his true identity. i'm familiar about zetsu, or i guess i forgot about him. so i couldn't tell.

Tobi! he's abilities are from Uchiha Madara. he also have the Sharingan of the man who is considered to be the strongest of the Uchiha clan and the rival of the First Hokage. and i think even more powerful than Pain who has the Rennigan which is considered the strongest of the eye techniques( Sharingan and Byakugan), i mean Pain was one of his underlings right? i dont know if Zetsu measures up with him but they're on opposite poles. as far as i can tell, hes like a 100 Itachi. lol
