Do you feel your work is boring?

If it wasn't I wouldn't be on here right now...

sometimes i do feel bored at work, especially if i'm done with my work or if i just dont have the mood to work haha..

for me work is not boring....my work is exciting...i love doing it everyday...coz i have new challenges everyday to perform...also...i love my job...coz i have good TL, good bunch of colleagues & i have a understanding Manager which helps in performing better & always encouraging me to do better......so my wrk is not at all boring....wrk gets boring whn u dont enjoy ur wrk...wen u r reluctant to somethng new...thts wen ur job starts boring u...so guys my funda is simple always try to do ur job in different manner...take challenges...or challenge urself to limit...thn u will love ur job... regrds, melovean

Dear Ivanak I am in a secretarial cadre and my job is to attend the phone and always give a smile face with polite and humble submission. Attending regular meeting, conference along with my boss is a hectic schedule and really some times I felt it that it is a boring job. Every day I am busy in my office upto 8.00 PM . Though Secretarial job is a very prestigious job and powerful job but over and above there is some boredom/fatigue, but I have no option but to continue. pkc3000

I did sometimes...actually isn't my work is boring the people I work with.Sometimes is good sometimes is bad.Its look like every body is depend on there mood.

Actually,most of our jobs are simply repeating the same things and lack of creativity. But, this is life.Maybe nearly every working people are suffering when it comes to their work. So,don't complain too much,what we can do is to accept it and try our best to find interests in it! Come on,my dear friend!

I think every job can be boring at times, even if it's a job you like and want to do at other times. I get bored when I'm tired and can't muster up enough interest in it.

yes. i am sooo bored at times at work :( i feel i cannot do anything wonderful at all. and i feel useless too. :(

I work at a after school program and love it and find it very interesting. I work with kids and the things they say and do make me laugh. There is never a dull day around there. There is always something different we do with the kids. So no I don't think my job is boring. I think it is very invigarating.

Not at all! I absolutely adore my work. It is like the best dream job on earth, and to actually get some pay for it too is just the icing on the cake. I have always done jobs that serve the community: like nursing and teaching. I was a nurse for two years and a teacher for 12 years, teaching teenagers English, and I loved it. But to get far in education you have to get out of the classsroom and become a manager or administrator instead. I didn't like that part of it as I was always disciplning kids sent to my office, not loving them. So I left teaching and began to do what I do now, to write. And it has been an amazing experience. I am a people watcher, writer and creative person. I also love to make up quizzes to go with my articles. I have been writing for the past 15 years and have never looked back. I started as freelance on general social issues for newspapers and magazines, then became an education editor for a niche newspaper. Five years later, I started my own magazine which ran for 10 years and was targeted at businesses and training. Now I am back to freelancing again but at an expert, self-employed level. I write on self-confidence, empowerment, emotional health, relationships and dating issues. I believe that a lack of self-love and broken relationships account for the greatest individual pain suffered in society. So I am devoting myself to raising awareness around self-love and better relationships so that people can learn how to reduce the hurt and unnecessary feeling of isolation and rejection in their lives. I am enjoying every minute of it, especially when I see the feedback from people who have genuinely been helped by my words - a truly awesome feeling of humility. I could never find my job boring because it has too many aspects to it which are very satisfactory and fulfilling. In fact, I not only love my job, I think it is the greatest purpose in my life and I shall be doing it and enjoying every minute of it until my final day!

Yes, I do get boring at times... actually.. been boring here at work for almost a week now.. dunno but just not feeling okay with work lately... maybe i just need to rest or something

i guess this happens to the best of us. sometimes work tends to be repetitive and we aren't challenged anymore, hence we feel bored. when thsi happens to me, i just try to refocus with my work. if that doesn't work, i try to do other stuff not totally related to my job.

I do. Sometimes i have nothing to do but just to sit around the table. I consider this a waste of time and life. Can't do some other things. caz this is work, you earn money from that. God!

Yeah, sometimes I get bored at work. I think it happens to everyone from time to time. I know what you mean when you say that you must smile all day at customers. It's really hard when you're not feeling well or just plain tired. Your bosses probably don't care, they just want you to smile and pretend you are happy all the time. But, if you stick with it in the long run, it will work out for you really well and you might be able to move up from that job.
