Disturbing accounts of a child molester

I was watching doctor phil one day and they had a child molester on. He was coming clean about everything. He was saying how molesters have an agenda from the start. They get in good with the kids, and parents, and build trust and make you think they are the best people in the world, so you have no suspiscions. He said they may not do anything for years, but they always have the plan. Isnt this disturbing? Who do you trust if anyone with your children? How do you know? Being a parent is so hard, with these types of people among us. What do you think?

That is just simply disturbing, i take it he is claiming that he is reformed??? dont get me wrong i do believe people can change but some would have to work harder to prove this to me.
But i guess he is also giving an insight into the mind of a molester which could prove useful, in my opinion he is also sending a message which says you can't trust anyone these days. it is difficult to know who is who.

no, actually he wasnt saying he was reformed, he wanted to be castrated. He said he could not control his feelings, and it was making him crazy. He said he didnt want to hurt people anymore and the govt or whoever would not castrate him, though he had begged and begged. Now whether or not that is the truth I dont know, but they probably should have done it.

Hi stacyv81! yes, that is really a disturbing thought. I think it would be better for parents to always do a background check on people whom they trust their kids with such as the nannies and teachers or if that is a little impossible, maybe it would be better to just closely monitor the kids as best as you can. It is really hard but if I have to leave my kids with somebody else, I would leave them with my father, my aunts or my mother in law. These are the only people I could trust with my children if ever I will have any. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

I saw some of that show – the one with the grandfather – some how I missed how it ended though.
I think that it is really creepy that people an lie dormant like that, always looking and plotting. I wonder if murderers are the same way?

I saw the same show, it was very frightening to think these sickos have a plan. I don't know how they can do such things, it is sickening, it makes my blood boil. I only trust close friend and family and professional daycare centres with my children, anyone else it is too risky.
I had a friend when I was in highschool she was molested for years by her own father. Nothing even happened to him, she even still spoke to him as an adult, cannot comprehend that. I also had another friend who got molested by her neighbour. These are people you are supposed to be able to trust your own flesh and blood. Who can you trust????
