I was in my mid 20s when I started to have a few gray hairs. It's more now. It's genetics and stress I believe. At first I was a bit shocked I started greying so early. But I learned early to count my blessings and that life can end young. I'm just glad I'm still alive. What else is important?;)

I would feel like I am getting old. When my aunt would do my hair, when I was in high school and after I got out of school, she saw a long strand of gray hair coming from my scalp. I thought that that was a sign that I was getting old, but she told me that it is from good luck and wisdom. I was happy then.. But as I have gotten older at 28 or 29, I grew this piece of gray hair on the top of my hair. I can hardly see it.. But my husband notices it, and teases me.. Now that is when I start to worry. But my face looks like I am still in high school.. I am 29 now. I will be 30 in August.. I still can't understand why i have started to get gray hair at such a young age. I thought that this was meant for you when you get old.. Boy was I wrong!

I'm used to it because I had grey hair since I was in high school. So I'd say it's not always everything about the age. I'm sorry for the disagreement LOL! Now I have a lot more of them. I don't really mind it. I'd rather have lots of grey hair than loss some hairs and eventually become bald. LOL! my apologies for those out there who's getting bald. Cheers!

I was 36 when i started getting gray hair. My father's mother had totaly white hair as long as i can remember. Even in my baby pic with her her hair was white. My mother's mother was 75-80 before her grays hair came. My mother doesn't have gray hair yet, but i do. I feel they way they do in Jamacia. "Gray hair is a sign of wisdom".

I always thought I would mind when I would go grey , and if I did it would be at a much older age . All I would have to do is a natural rinse . The other day I say a few strands and i thought oh my goodness stress really can cause grey hair. I am just 27 and hope that is all i get . My fiance thinks its just my black hair bleached from the sun .

I started going gray at 19. Most women in my family are fully silver by the age of 30. I guess it didn't work that way on my dad's side, because here I am at 42 & still salt & pepper. I go through stages of dying it & then not. I am currently in a stage where I am once again embracing my gray. My hair is very short right now, but it grows quickly, so that doesn't bother me. Also If I want to feel "younger" going out on the town, I just throw on a wig - I have tons of them. You can fight your gray, or embrace your gray, but either way, you have to live with it :-)

I am 33 years old I have just like one or two that I am aware of while my darker haired sister whos 3 years older has alot and has for a year or so. Just started noticing them since she stopped dying her hair every few months. I really didn't have any thoughts about my few strands of gray hair it is just something that comes with age some younger then others. I was just like okay I have a few no biggie. I have others in my family who dye their haor to keep them from showing. For some it is "Oh no!" where's the hair dye for others they take it in stride like I did.

My whole life people have said to my mother,"She looks just like you" or to me, "You look just like your mother". So when I started getting gray hair I thought, "damn, now I'll look even more like her". Really it's not so bad but my complexion looks so bad when my hair is gray. That's why I dye it and mom refuses too dye hers, (Hee Hee, LOL!) so we don't look quite so much alike any more!!

the first time I saw my grey hair ( don't remember how old I was) anyway, I ran, got into my car and drove to the nearest, CVS, RITEAID and bought me a some hair dye.I am 56 years young and still dye my hair. I'm still too young to look old. I know there is nothing wrong with looking older, but I myself am not ready for it. it did face me when I turn 30, people didn't believe me. when I turn 40 I was still looking good. now 50,It's showing. but I'm still not ready to get older.

I had red hair, so I was shocked when I found my first white one at 14! Not long after that, I found a black one. lol My Dad's hair turned white (not grey) when he was in his 40's. It was beautiful. His Mother's hair did the same. They both had black hair to begin with. Over the years, I kept getting a white one here and there, and they were kinky-curly! My hair is more or less straight, but with some natural curl if I let it dry naturally. These little curly white ones just kept popping up until now I have loads of them! My red hair started turning colors, fading, turning more of a blondish red. So I decided to color it. Nobody can ever get a natural looking red hair dye. It kind of changed the texture of my hair, so I just stopped coloring it and I'm letting it turn white now. I think I'm going to like it!

I am 29 years old and i have been getting grey hair since probably around age 6 or 7 so i dont view it as a sign of old age. In my family most of us grey at a very early age, i think it has to do with the texture of our hair or something. My feeling of disbelief and outrage was felt when i got them below. I was shocked and i have the really white ones so they stand out. Even in my nose i have them. Today i dont notice them, they are a part of me and when someone pointS out hey u are grey i dont feel anyway. So for me it has nothing to do with age, i dont even think of my age most of the times. I feel like 15 ninty-nine percent of the times even when i am seeing those greys.

As one ages, I do agree we get grey hair. However, grey hair does not happen only to the aged. It is also caused by stress. It can also be inherited. So if we start to get grey hair, it means we have matured and have really worked hard to live life to the fullest. What a great thought!

I hated it - it made me feel old. The first thing I did was to cover it up. Hair dye works wonders!

I'm 28 and I started getting a bit of grey hair. I freaked out at first but then I started to pluck them. I know I won't always be able to pluck them but there is not enough to have to dye my hair but when there is thats what I will start to do.

well i don't have a lot of white hair though i'm already 32. i don't get grey hair at all. they'll just grow out as white. i find that sometimes it has got to do with genes. my sister has got white hair since she was a teenager. i'm luckier as i take after my father more while she takes after my mother. she just dye her hair regularly to cover the whites. it doesn't really affect her much. guess age is more of a mental state. if you FEEL you are old, you are. i've seen young people acting like they've lived a few decades. i've also seen the not-so-young behaving like teenagers. there's nothing wrong with either. it's just a mental state one is in. cheers.

So far so good no greys for me but I honestly think I'm not going to go gray I think I'm going to go completely white not gray at all. I had white hair when I was born LOL!!! So I think that it will revert to that. and that is when the hair is professionally done. LOL!!!

Well I don't like having grey hair. I don't have grey hair either..lol. But I did find one or two at one time, and I pulled them out, I know your not supposed to, they say that two will grow back the next time, but I didn't care, I pulled them out anyway. I'm 37, and don't have any yet, hopefully I have my mothers genes, she's 60, and she has very few grey hairs, and hardly any wrinkles, she doesn't look her age at all. My grandmother didn't look her age either when she was in her 70's, she still had smooth skin and very few wrinkles. Hopefully I will age gracefully like they have.
