i used to have a celeron and it really started to get crappy in one year or 2.. i wanted to change the processor but along with it i would have had to also change some other important components so in the end i decided to buy a new pc, with intel dual core,a big memory ...and it runs incredibly fast now, comparing to my old one. i often blamed my internet connection for pages blocks or for the fact that some pages loaded very slow, but it was in fact my pc/processor's fault so i advise anyone to improove their pc and keep them updated:P

Hi, I use Intel Coreā„¢ 2 Duo E4400 @ 2.0 GHz. I always prefer Intel than AMD. The new C2Extreme kicked AMD out. Intel "Leap Ahead"...

well i had a AMD Athlon before the intel and let me tell you the only problem with AMD is that you have to go for a ASUS motherboard for optimum performance and i have bad exp. with the ASUS motherboards. i had to change the board 2 times as bios was out. it was so irritating. but now the intel new Core 2 Duo is great and i think it is better than AMD's counter part and so i went for the same and intel is best with the intel motherboard. u end up paying a bit more but then i think it s worth the extra bit. also the heating problem is not there with intel which makes me comfortable to keep it running without the AC on when i give my PC on a render command with my MAYA files.

AMD X2 - 5200+ AM2 Rs.3650 go with amd. its great value for money. best performance. faster and has got latest technology. allround its better than intel core2duo. price is less, performance is more. U want a gaming system i suggest AMD, but be sure u set up the proper cooling systems for ur processor. If its just music , video or office work Intel is good. U save a lot of time & some money in terms of fixing up after the problems.

I'm using an old one too, AMD Sempron 2500+ on a 32 bit board. If I would upgrade it it will require a new motherboard for a new set memory. This is somewhat pushing it to its limits.

Oh, not because AMD CPUs get hot real fast & bla bla bla as some of you might think. It was because the plug point in my room had a power surge

I'm using an Intel Pentium 4 CPU at 3GHz. My PC is a Dell Dimension 5100. I'm not sure exactly how long i've had it but it's two of three yeas now.
