and again right, because the new ones like me would not know if their posts have already been posted by any other person in mylot before itself or not (most probably it would have been posted), so would you still answer the newcomer's posts even if u had responded to the same type of question before or ignore it

I would still respond unless the question had been asked about five minutes ago. It's the nature or this board that similar questions are asked over and over again because many people are interested in the same things.

You are quite right that many members have repeated questions over the past couple of years, and I also agree that it is due to the lack of realisation that they had been asked many times before. This has never deterred me from taking part in a discussion, particularly if the discussion is something of interest.

I would still answer but like the above poster said not if it's like five minutes after. I don't really mind answering again because I get to add more stuff the second time around so it doesn't really bother me. I've had many situations like this.

I usually do a search for what I want to post or know and seldom get any discussions to come up so I start my own. I try, but if it isn't giving me anything, i have to start one. I have noticed that once I start one and get a few repsonses, then at the bottom of the page, there are some similar to mine. Why those didn't come up in the search, I have no clue. And then I will read some of them to see what I missed and they are, well for lack of better way to put it, useless. They were asked in such a silly way or a one liner or something like that that there were hardly any responses or what was there was one liners and no information. So..not only does a search not always reveal, but often what it does, is basically, useless. Now, that is not to say all discussions/reponses are. Sometimes I do find one that helps me out or answers my question or whatever I am doing, but seems more often than not, whats there isn't usable.

I won't answer unless what I think about the subject has changed, since Mylot has a policy about saying the same thing on Mylot you can only express the same opinion with different words... So it's pointless to respond again unless you have something different to say.
