*I would always look at a member's profile just to be sure if I am friends with them if I can send them messages here in myLot. *Indicating discussions wherein we've already participated in does sound like a good suggestion. I have been rating the discussions that I have participated in up to now just to make sure that I have participated in them when I view the discussions again.. I would just like to be notified whenever a reply to my response is ever given and that too works every now and then. *For inactive members to be highlighted? Why not just send them a notification through email informing them that they have been inactive in the sight whenever they have not been logging in for a particular amount of time, like a month or so.. *Discussed topics not to be discussed again are rather difficult. Aside from certain tags can be associated with other discussions, the tags are also indefinite. Let's say that I have a PSP among Technologies that Interest Me and then, I also have PSP on Products that I Use, those are just categories that I think that are closely associated with each other that can have the same interest. If you have an entirely different discussion in mind which you want to start but, the associating tags for that discussion is already taken, you might not be able to start that discussion since, its more easier for a program to identify if a discussion is already present with the tags that have been associated with them. Actual moderating is the only way to distinguish if a discussion has already been present or the contents of that discussion is still valid to be discussed about Uhmmm, that's just what I think..

I like your ideas. I think they would improve the mylot experience. I'm satisfied with mylot as it is but I've only been here for a few weeks. I can't think of anything else that might make mylot better; you covered the bases pretty well.

I think all your suggestions are pretty good, but i dont understand the inacive user discussion point your made. What is the point of that? Unless by indicating that if the person is your referral you can perhaps get intouch with them and get them active again.

You're right there need to be some updates to this site for example you should be able to 1.Resubmit your unresolved discussions 2.You should be able to go back and correct typo in your discussions or posts and 3.You should be able to send a private message without having to request to be added as a friend.Administratoin should take some of these suggestions into consideration and try to make the site better as it continue to grow.

Yes, I like those ideas. I too, have a list of things I would like to see different here: *The ability to 'Select All' friends to turn notify on or off. *The ablility to choose to have the notify ON by Default. *The ability to choose to view a "List" of interests and friends instead of the avatars taking up so much space that you have to go to the next page to see all of them. *Before some goofball starts a new interest and spells it wrong, have a warning that there is already an interest with a name similar to that one.

I have only been here since the 11th of the month, and enjoying every minute of it.But the one that you have mentioned about 'discussed topics never come up again' has me puzzled.Do you mean to indicate that, once a topic has been discussed, we can never discuss it again? There are many ways of discussing one topic and never hit on the same thing twice.Everybody may have a different take on a topic that has been discussed. I would like to see the discussions section on the sidebar on every page rather than having to hit discussions at the top. I like the choices given on the side and it is so easy just to make the choice from there. Other than that, Mylot is fine with me.

I would also like discussions that are like 3 years old to be deleted. Some things are nice to discuss and can come back after time, it might be started by a user that quit and they will never respond again. Some of the ideas you are posting sound appealing but I'm not sure mylot will want to go through with them. Adding a tick to their avatar sounds nice :)

i think you have very clearly noted down the changes required. i need some more like, i want to search friends from the page of friends. also when we see many discussion if we can mark some and kept in a folder and later respond them.

I very much love that idea, I think they have to update too the guidelines because some it are conflicting or out of date. I have requested admin for this but I'll just reiterate. In friends discussion email notification I wish there's a 'view the entire discussion' link for there are such type of discussion that requires it.

For me mylot is perfect and I believe that admins are doing their best to improve the site what ever they want to change. But if they can let the members use CSS in their profile page its much beter and if they can put some photo album page it can attract many students in colleges. But still its no problem to me if they stay with what we have right now. As what I have said earlier mylot looks perfect to me already.

I agree with point two that if you have responded to a discussion it should be highlighted to tell you so. The other factors I am not so bothered about. I also think that the interests should be reorganised as they are quite messy, many internet discussions etc.

you covered all the ones i think except one.. they need to merge the 5 plus different interest that are named the exact same thing.. i never know which to post to anymore when you have 4 for harry potter books or something.. it would help tidy up things better and it would help discussions get more responces

I think you have very interesting ideas, but I do have to say something about the last one, the one about not re-submitting similiar topics. Doing this would make it hard for newbies to come on and find themselves and what is going on. Of course, as long as the already submitted topics remain on the discussions and are not deleted...thats fine too... they could refer to that. ALso, I think it would make it really hard to find things to talk about if things were already said and done.

yeah,i'm the new mylot user for these days.i really like it and thank it for offering us a good platform that we each other can communicate some interesting things here.for improvement,i have two experience in mylot. one is the same as you "discussed topics never come again" ,which i can't see the topics what we discussed straightly from my account.the other thing is that when we submit the topic and response,we can't edit it again.i think we should have this edit purview. that's all.i hope the mylot can be better.

I can't really say that I have any suggestions, but I like your idea about highlighting topics we have already responded to. This will help those like myself with memory issues. lol

I have a few suggestions: One those discussions on the left side should make it easy to go to the last page of that discussion without going over every tenth page or so and later every third or fourth. The notify me when someone replies to a discussion and the reverse notify this person when Z reply to his or her discussions should come on the profile page and then recorded on the friends page. This will save someone from going over the friends list and putting the notify me, and finding out that the person is vehemently opposed to your views and lets you know in the rudest possible way. I do not like your fourth suggestion. That will only make mylot die sooner since there is no new thing under the Sun.

I like your ideas! Really cool. Certainly the site always has room for improvement. One of the things that bothers me is that anyone can have a discussion deleted. Some discussions don't deserve to get deleted. Others do. The discussions that deserve to get deleted are rarely reported and never get deleted. While decent ones, do. That's sort of a gripe and would love it if they would do something about it on Beta Mylot!

I agree with all the suggestions on this page ajesh..now I have read it only I didn't receive it til we were friends!! So it would be nice to see some of the suggestions that have been discussed on this page come to fruition-your friend littleowl

i think you've said it well already. i like your ideas, it would be a great help to all mylotters.

I really would like to be able to post to my unresponded to discussions so that they can get responses or to have the discussions that are unresponded to somehow pop up automatically for discussion again about five days after the original post to see if that second posting causes any bites. I would like the interests to be listed on one page rather than on so many that we need to browse through several pages to find the appropriate discussion focus to post in. It would be nice if there was another incentive after the 500 mark so that we could strive for something else after the ability to cut and paste. I love getting the money yet having something to look forward to and to have fun posting to get would be a nice thing.
