Do you or did have those deep down fears within you of something or someone ? How are you dealing with it ? Is it possible that these fears are sometimes caused by the ideas and thoughts drilled into us when we are young and our over active imaginations get the better of us ?

I do not fear anything material or any living person for that matter. The only thing that scares me is the truth of losing my loved ones. I would be shattered then. It scares me indeed!

I experienced that for a long time during my childhood, and had to one day face the moment of reckoning. It's made me stronger today and realise a lot more.

It was one those memories that I was reflecting on earlier today ,and which actually made me start another discussion on "Emotional imprints"

I am sorry, alok. We all have to face that moment but I guess, as you have said , will make us stronger.

Any time i get scard i think of the word of God. God told me in his beatiful word not to be afraid. so i just go to him in prayer.Lord please take away this thing from me and all of a suden it goes away. so when you are afraid pray to GOD to take them away.

No doubt, its our faith which gives us the strength to deal with our fears. God Bless.

I have several deep down fears, and yes, those fears are definitely drilled into us as we grow. Is an infant afraid of the dark/monsters under the bed? No; it's only when they get introduced to society and watching movies and reading books about monsters under the bed that they start to get scared of that.
