They say water does a body good!!!

All my life it was drilled into my head that you had to have so much water that you drink a day to have enough water for your body. Well I myself have never really been a water drinker. If I drink to much water I have the problem where I actually start to have it come back up on me. But I have solved that problem by drinking flavored waters. Yum. they have a taste and flavor and yet they are nice healthy water. So my question to you is do you prefer flavored water to regular water? If you drink flavored water what brand do you drink the most and what flavor is it? I have always love raspberry flavored water by Dasani but recently my friend turned me onto raspberry lemonaide Propel and now I've been drinking that this week alot. LOL!! So what is you favorite and why? Along with the above questions.

I always understood that water was water...plain, unadulterated, pure water and that to flavour it, colour it, sweeten it or anything else was to detract from it's goodness. I drink pure rainwater but I absolutely cannot manage the 5 litres a day prescribed by my doctor. In the winter months, I 'm lucky if I drink 1 litre!

Rainwater is untreated water. I have 2 huge water tanks in my yard to collect water when it rains. I think spring water is similar, taken from a spring and bottled. Tap water is treated - in Australia it has fluoride in it...it probably has other things as well.

Sweetie, i did a discussion about this a few months ago. Unless you have a medical need or you excersize to the point of sweating and depleting your bodies fluids what you drink in the normal course of the day is sufficient. If you are eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, and drinking other things as long as they are not caffeinated, (caffeine tends to dehydrate) you are probably getting as much fluids as you need. The one advantage to drinking plain water is that your body does not have to do anything with it as far as digestion. As we age our kidney functions slow down along with everything else, and you can actually over tax your kidneys by drinking to much water. Although your body needs water to get rid of excess water, you can do harm by drinking to much.

dang I forgot to answer your question LMAO I have a britta water pitcher, and I drink plain water most of the time sometimes with a squeeze of lemon in it :))0 I do not like throwing my money away on bottled water. Jake has a couple of sports bottles he just fills up out of the pitcher at night time and pops into the fridge to get cold for the next day.

no lecture here for the longest time I have done the same thing but I have started drinking flavored bottle water because it does cut the calories of that soda and it supposedly healthy. but studies show that whatever you drink has water so it counts towards the water intake ...

I prefer the pandan flavor water. It's a 4" to 6" long green leaves boiled to 1 liter water. It is also good for body cleansing. This is good when you drink it cold. But sometimes when we don't have pandan leaves, I prefer to drink lemonade, our local 'calamansi.' I take it before each meal to lessen my food intake.

yep some water is good but recent studies and information shows that it doesn't matter if you get the water through your koolaid or from your coffee or juice becuase it's all made with water and that is what counts. He he he. Yes but plain water can help clense or so I have been told. He he he he....Have a nice one.

Hmm well I have always had a problem drinking a lot of water too bella but i don't really like to drink flavoured water either - I would rather drink some weak fruit cordial! Sorry sweety but I don't have a favourite flavour of flavoured water - I don't like any of them! xxx

Hey that is more than ok that you don't have a favorite flavor of water it just means that you have to find something else that you like and you have the fruit cordial.

I started drinking flavored water nearly 30 years ago! Through the years I would switch flavors so that I wouldn't get bored or to find something else to add the the supply. And the result?: When I lie on my back, I look just like a camel. Thanks Anheuser-Busch!

I'm with you, I find it hard to guzzle down the 8 recommended daily glasses of water. My 10 year old daughter is the same way. At home I make Crystal Light (or generic equivalent). The only thing I don't like about Crystal Light and equivalents - are all the dyes. (Feed Kool-aid or Crystal Light to a toddler and you'll see what I mean when the diaper comes off - bright green doo-doo!) (of course my 10 year old thinks the dyes are fun cuz she can make her tongue blood red.) I've tried a few flavored waters, but find that they usually have a weird after-taste. I like New York Seltzer and the Sam's Choice (generic Walmart). I think Crystal Light is starting to come out with dye-free mixes - will have to check on that. I hope they do. That would be great!

During the summer I drink so much water it is crazy . I am always on the go , and active , and water really does help me . It helps when you wanna lose weight to by flushing out all that bad stuff, and it helps with bloat too , and it fills you up . Well , it feels me up , just hate how I am always in the bathroom when I drink way too much .

I drink seven glasses of water in the morning when I get up. After that I don't take anything for at least 45 minutes so that the water can circulate and purify my body. I have never heard of flavoured water. Even if there is such a think I don't think it can ever match the pure taste of ordinary water. I am 51 and robust and healthy. But unfortunately one of my office colleagues who is only 25 is today in hospital after an operation for kidney stones. I saw the stones which were black and like small crystals just half a centimetre. There were two of them. He admitted that he does not have a good intake of pure water. So flavoured or not all the best on your experience with water. Drink more and more.

I too am like you I hate water, I mean it is just tht wter, but I have come to realize tht our bodies are like the plants I have outside, if you dont' give them a drink once in a wild they die. Our bodies need water for us to survive, so I had to find some way that I could down it. I too drink the flavored water, but I don't buy it flavored, I buy a caseof wter at the first of the month and I add the flavoring packets that they sell at the store. I love the rasberry. I found that they are quite expensive at the local grocerys, but at the Dollar General if you have one in your area, they are the same exact thing and for one dollar, so I bought several different kinds, Ihave not tried the lemonaid yet but hear it is very good. I imagine the bottled flavored water is expensive. Now sometimes I even get a bottle out plain and drink it, I know it makes me feel better when I drink water than when I didn't.

My gram was watching on the news or something that it doesn't matter what you drink since it is all made with water it counts towards the ounces of water a day you need. LOL!! How many times do doctors have to change their tune?

When I was little, I also didn't like drinking water because it's no taste. I tended to drink soda water much more. Now most of the time I will drink water, although it's not delicious. But it's the healthiest drink anyway. And usually I use a big cup so that it will let myself to drink much more water:) Although my favorite drink is still soda water, but I try to drink it less. I love China

I've had to force myself to like water. I'd much prefer soda, iced tea, etc! But, when I start off with water first thing in the morning, I'm more likely to drink it throughout the day. But, it has to be very cold for me to like it! I can't stand flavored waters. I don't know why. They have to be sweetened for me to drink them, and by the time you do that I may as well have a soda!

Try adding propel packets they are sweet and half the calories of soda. Or you can try the crystal light stuff that actually is really good too.
