OK, there's a version of this which is pretty interesting. You butter your toast while it's hot enough to make the butter melt into the bread. Then you sprinkle sugar across the butter on the toast. The sugar melts into the butter giving it a rather unique flavor. I have not done this for quite a while, I'm trying to lose a bit of weight and have cut down on sugar content - will send my blood pressure into dangerous levels. But having said all of that, the flavor is spectacular. I'm a little on the tubby side, but when you know I like my sandwiches to be low on bread and high on the spreed, you'll understand why I have been working towards developing the body of a cuddly toy. I am particularly fond of chocolate spreed and peanut butter in huge chunks and when I live in Southeast Asia, we have something called Kaya, which is coconut custard, which you can spreed across your toast. Allot of people would worry when they see me eat. It's like the bread is only part of the decoration. The joy is in eating the spreed, which is very nice when it is laid out in a very thick fashion. Very good with sweet spreads, but unfortunately you can't have things like Bovril in that way.

I can eat almost anything with bread. Cheese, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Beef, Tuna, Chicken, Ham, Bacon, Mayonnaise, Peanut Butter, Egg, Butter, okay, not ALL in the same bread but we all know we can make a lot from bread like sandwiches, french toast, etc. But my all time favorite which I can easily make at home are peanut butter sandwich and ham and egg sandwich. I also eat focaccia bread with pasta when I go eat at my favorite Italian restaurant. Yummy!

Hi guys.... It's good to see you also love bread with butter. I am also a big fan of it. I prefer it in my breakfast. I also like bread with cheese or jam. Generally I have 4 pieces of it in brakfast wit a hot cup of coffee or tea. It's feels really great when you are having it while reading news paper. This food habit is a healthy one and no doubt it's very tasty too.

In my case, I really like to eat bread and noodles altogether. It does make me so full after eating such snack. It can even be substituted as a meal sometimes. The taste of the bread complements much with the taste of the plain bread. Delicious.
• Philippines
24 Jul 08
yes i agree with that. i can eat a lot of that too. the plain taste of a bread is cool to pair with noodles and pasta as well. my wife cooks noodles sometimes for breakfast and i feel so full up to lunch time. well thats what breads are made because they are cool to pair with any food you like. thanks a lot for the response

• Philippines

My two favorite foods involving bread are an egg in a basket which is a scrambled or sunny side up egg cooked into a toasted piece of bread that has a hole cut out in the middle of it and the second is a philly cheese steak sandwich. I also love to eat garlic bread along with any italian dish.
• Philippines
24 Jul 08

I really like fried egg sandwiches. They're pretty easy to make, and taste good if you are a person who likes to eat eggs. You take two eggs and cook them as though you are going to scramble them, and chop the yolk. Flip them and let it cook evenly. Put mayonaise on your bread, and eat.

Funnily enough I bet I am one of the rare people in this world who doesn't like PB&J sandwiches or peanut butter sandwiches. I love grilled cheese sandwich! I also like tuna! But I make mine differently. I chop up onions and tomatoes, fry it in some oil and I open the tuna, drain the excess oil or water and throw it in the pot, add just a tiny bit of ketchup and put in some salt, mix it all up add in some fresh chopped hot pepper (to your taste) toast up my bread and put it in there, yum! I also have another weird concoction as well. I'm not sure how I thought of this one. I take a can of vienna sausages, drain it and chop them up into bite sized pieces. I put some butter in the frying pan and throw them in, put in some of your favourite BBQ sauce (to taste) and put in some grated cheddar cheese and fry it all up. Put it in your bread and wow! I could actually eat that without bread. I never heard of potato salad or macaroni salad in bread but I would never want to try it personally. But those other two that I make are all I can think of offhand.

I like peanut butter also. I'd have to say that my all time favorite would be just plain butter. It is good to eat with a meal especially with a nice spaghetti and pasta mix. You know what else is good on bread? Honey butter. I have tried this at a buffet a few times. It is really good!

I love eating tomato sandwiches. I toast the bread and put a slice of tomato and a slice of cheese on it. It's wonderful. I also love eating grilled cheese sandwiches. I'm absolutely obsessed with cheese. I also like eating toast with a little bit of butter or just a plain piece of white bread with butter on it with my spaghetti. My husband and I also butter bread and then put cinnamon and sugar on it and put it in the oven until the cinnamon and sugar have melted and the bread is toasted. Tuna salad on bread is also good, or boiled eggs paired with a piece of toast.
