I have just gotten the Wii Fit. I love it. I would like to hear from others who have used or are using it and how it has helped them.

Despite its moniker, Wii Fit isn't a total fitness solution, with its included exercises focusing more on improving muscle tone and balance than on cardio and weight loss. What it does offer is a better way to track your weight, body mass index (BMI), and time spent exercising both within the game itself and from any other external activities, giving users a clearer picture of how their health is progressing over time. It's no more going to make you super-fit than Wii Sports is going to make you a tennis pro, but it can provide a strong anchor for a more expansive fitness regime should you have the motivation.

Yes, I agree with you. It is not the total fitness solution. But I must admit that is got me started. Before I would sit on the couch and watch TV after work. I was embaresed to walk outside because I weez and just couldn't breath on short jaunts. The Wii Fit showed me just how much I was over weight. Now if only they could create a program that calculates your food intake with exercise.

I purchased the wii fit about a month ago but just set it up last night. I just spent over an hour on the thing and had to pry myself away. It is totally adicting, I keep wanting to beat my score! Hopefully it will burn up some major calories!

We have been looking for one for a long time now. I finaly found one yesterday and I cant believe how much I love it. I played on it for about 40 minutes and it never got old. I love all the different options to play. My Mom has one too and it is motivational for me to compete with her scores so it stays fun. I hope I can come back here in a month and tell you I am 15 pounds lighter then I was today. I guess we will see.

My wife and I have just put a Wii on 'layby til christmas' as I thought it would be great for my 5yr old son, as well as my wife and I. As we all love playing games, I thought it a good way to also be active at the same time. We're getting the sports pack with it, and I thought that would be great for me as the weather will always be fine indoors, LOL!

The test rely on your balance and not physical fitness. Balance is important, but so it fitness. I do not see this as something that can get you into great shape, but it will get you up and moving which is good. I used mine for week or two then quit using it. I need to get back on it and track my weight. It's nice how you can set weight loss goals with it. I was able to purchase mine the 1st day them came out.

Lucky you. I had to wait because they were sold out everywhere! I finally got mine and a month later still love it.

I love my Wii fit! While I don't think using the Wii Fit alone will make you lose a decent amount of weight I love using it as a guide. About once a week I will get on and measure my body fat index and my weight and I like how it keeps track of it for me. That way I can visually see my progress with bar graphs and such.

I like using it for my progress too. I don't get a chance to use it daily. It's a fun way to look at fitness.

I am planning on getting a wii for my kids this year for Christmas. I figure that it is something the whole family will be able to use. We use to do playstation dance dance revolution for exercise. It was really fun too.

I still love mine. I've had it a month now. We splurged because it is something the whole family can do together.
