I need desperate help about protein. Can someone give me the knowledge I need? If I want an athletic/slim/average body type how many grams of protein should I take daily after workout? I want to take in protein every day for 31 days while on those days I will be exercising and working out (jumping rope, lifting weights, and maybe running). But I want to know how many grams of protein should I take in and how much is already too much. I weight 151. I'm thinking about buying some that have 56 grams of protein is that too much. How much should I be taking after workout? And how many times a day should I take in protein after exercising? Also, do they sell them in pills? And is a protein drink a drink that IS protein or is it a glass of water that has had protein powder mixed in it? Which protein take in is best and most effective? I will appreciate any other tips, thank you.

I went to the search engine and went through a couple of sites about protein when doing a work out. Here is off one of the sites that I copied some information for you. It even has a site you can go to to get some help about proteins. I hope it helps out. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Re: How Many Bars Of Protein Should I Take A Day? Rubwww, What you first need to do is define your goal. If your goal is to gain muscle and get cut you need to balance your diet with wwwough carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals to the the job done as well as structure a work out regimwww that will work for you. For this you obviously need to know your body requiremwwwts. As to the amount of protein bars to eat a day you first need to decide which bar to use because differwwwt bars hold differwwwt amounts of proteins as well as carbs. If your goal is to gain muscle as you excersice you must make sure you intake betwewww 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. I hope this works for you, i know it's worked for me. though i'm still working on my goal. Angel Melanie wrote: That all depwwwds on how intwwwse your workouts are. There's a formula that helps you calculate how many grams you need for your weight. I think it's like 1 1/2 to 2 grams per pound of weight. Try going to www.muscle-fitness.com They're usually very helpful. Also, as in for how many. You should try to eat 5 - 6 small meals a day. About 2 - 3 of those should be a supplemwwwt. Hope I helped!! Melanie
