I'm checking my address book, and i found it funny to see which one is the most popular surname among my contacts. As i'm a Chinese i found the most popular surname in my address book is Chen, there are about 14 guys whose surname is Chen. And i'm curious which surname is the most popular one in the western world, so i start this discussion. Please share with me! With regards

I don't think I have even two people with the same surname in my address book, but then I don't have many people in it anyway. In the United States Smith might be the most common surname, so common that a lot of people named Smith actually get accused of not using their real name.

Thank you so much for the response. In China, Li is the most common surname, but i never heard of anyone get accused of not using their real name here in China, because nobody simply use their surname. This is quite different from western world. Thank you so much and i'll mark yours as best response.

UNless i have both the same english name, then i will store their surname too.. haha If not, normally i will just store the 2 last characters of their name, because i dun have many frenz to have the same name.. haha
