Did you know that as the Democrats have gathered in Denver for their convention, John McCain's numbers in the polls have gone up? I think that's hysterical because you would think that during the Democratic convention, Obama's numbers would go up. The Democratics are also concerned about Obama's speech tonight. I don't blame them since the disaster when the teleprompter went out and he couldn't form a coherent sentence. I just think this whole thing is funny because they are spouting all of these references comparing Obama to JFK and Obama has nothing on JFK. The comparison is a joke! The only comparison is that JFK was young but his leadership skills are so far superior to Obama it's ridiculous. JFK had principles and he wasn't afraid to go to war or serve. JFK had flaws like everyone and I don't respect the fact that he was unfaithful to Jackie but he also had Joe Kennedy as an example in that so he was brought up thinking that was okay since his mother never put her foot down about his father's infidelity. Of course, most women didn't during that time. Anyway, whatever Obama says tonight won't impact anyone I know. Almost everyone I know plans to vote for McCain and I plan to encourage our cab drivers to vote for him and for Prop 8 in California. Since I work with a bunch of Armenians, I don't think it will be hard to sway them.

McCain's numbers are going up because every day less people are believing Obama's lies. Obama is telling the people what they want to hear and doesn't have a foundation to support what he is saying. I guess he thinks he will just be able to print more money to pay for everything. Obama sounds like Hitler. If everyone who supported Obama would read "Mein Kompf" they would vote the other way.

Another reason is because Obama did not pick Hillary Clinton as a running mate. I am sure that changed the opinion of some of his supporters.

being British, I don't have any say in this whole circus, but I did read that Hillary Clinton's big speech was supposed to bring in all her supporters to vote for Obama as many were intending to vote for McCain rather than vote for Obama. It remains to be seen if she was successful in that or not.

Hillary does not support Obama. The only thing she said was vote for him. She didn't say anything positive or good about him. It is clear that she doesn't want her supporters to vote for him. It seems like she is saying as little as possible so she can say, "Well I told them to vote for him. What more can I do?." LOL It is like she is just covering her tail.

That is interesting, whimsy. I'll bet the Dems are hating that. And I heard that John McCain picked a running mate. I wonder if he's going to try to announce that tonight...and steal Obama's thunder.

According to news reports, McCain is denying that he has chosen a running mate. It would be foolish of him to try to upstage the DNC when he is already getting higher points. He's better off waiting until this weekend right before the RNC. At least McCain knows how to form a sentence without a prompter so the Republicans don't have to worry about him going blank if something happens to the equipment.
