does love can really make you happy?

many of my friends told me that love can really make one happy. but in my case, it's not. well, i'm talking about a special relationship. i've experienced having a love or relationship but i'm not happy. i can only feel the agony. it was really a terrible experince. so, i've decided not to fall in love again because i'm afraid to have the same sacrifice again.
how about you? do you believe that love can really make you happy?
share your experience, who knows we may learn from it....

Well if that's what you believed i don't want to argue with you based on your experienced about love. For me love really means big to me because i actually fall in loved of a person who really doesn't loved me and in my case it's better to love than to be loved.I am a loving person and i dont care what people say about me and if i love someone i dont care if he does'nt love me as long as im happy with him and i care for him because that's what makes me feel happy..For me love makes me happy...that's my own opinion...Happy myloting!!

I think when you love, you experience both, happiness and sadness. It will depend on the situation. In your case, maybe you're the only one in love and the other just don't care, then you're not meant for each other. You have given this chance to love, so find someone to love that will love you back.

Its funny. I think people think its the love that actually makes you happy. I believe it the companionship. Because if you think about the people who are in love with someone but all in all they are completely miserable. I know I was completely head over heels in love with my daughters dad but we just didnt work. We were always fighting and it just made us unhappy. So you ask do I believe love can make you happy? No I believe you really have to have it all- love, companionship and really loving being together. Thats the BOTTOM LINE
