Do you curse yourself for posting a dsicussion which is not responded on the whole day. What will be your reaction.
I think it might have happened with all the my lot members at one or the other time. I have come across many discussions I made by devoting more time and these are seldom responded. Earlier I could not find the reasons why these discussions have not been responded. The reasons I find are that these were the lengthy one and majority of the people do not like the lengthy discussions to read thoroughly and then respond. Here people want summarized writing which they can reply in a short minimum time and then switch to other for increasing their score. I think common two three line discussions get good responses.
When my discussion is not responded no doubt it hurt but we can not compel any body to respond to that discussion, but I can do one thing, to improve my topic so that it is caches attention of the members on line in a particular interest and it works.
I do not curse myself for posting a discussion which is not responded because from this I have learned how to make a discussion more catchy.
What do u feel when it happens.

Of course I don't curse myself over a discussion with no respondents. Why would I? Mylot to me is like a game... sometimes you win sometimes to lose. And the best part is that although you lose by posting a discussion that attracts no respondent you also somehow win because you learn from it. You become aware of what topic will not attract myLotters at all. I have had around 3 discussions with no respondents before but I just laughed it off. And the good thing is that those discussions with no respondents were able to finally get respondents after some few months. So there is still hope and no need to despair.

I think the title or header is the biggest eye catcher ,if it is interesting and people are interested enough to read more ,then they will stop by it and may even respond to eat , but if it not so catchy ,whatever you wright inside one would hardly care,this is my opinion ,yours may differ.

I don't think it's ever happened to me.
If you have a large number of friends, there is no reason to not have at least one or two responses, no matter how boring your discussion topic is.
Of course if you make the topic a bit more interesting, more members will open it and take the time to respond.
It's a numbers game. Increase your numbers and your earnings will increase. I cover that quite a bit in the articles I wrote, which you can find on my profile.

I don't mean to but in with a question that is completely off topic, but I guess that is what I'm going to do. Sorry in advance. lol ldyjarhead, how do you get the spaces between your lines? I keep trying to seperate my rather long winded answers and I space down to start another part, then it just runs it all together when I post it and it's hard to read.

I just hit the enter key again.
If you 'preview' first, you have to go back and put the spaces back in. Not sure why it does that, but it makes me nuts, so I usually don't bother to preview.
Do you respond from email or from the site? I don't do it from email, so I don't know if that is an issue or not.

Its happened to me quite a few times... no biggie ...people are either interested or they're not. We are such a diverse community here that we have our own interests which may not appeal to many other members. I think you are right that some people just want to answer discussions that require minimum effort thinking they will boost their earnings by quantity rather than quality. But, there are many members here who do take the time and trouble to give thoughtful and informative responses.

I won't curse myself. If my discussion is not been responded, it means that my discussion is not very popular and not interested. So I will make another discussion with new topic which people will respond it. It's hard to think one topic to become our discussion. But I keep try make the best discussion that I can do.

I have many discussions that have not been responded to and I worked pretty hard on them.Ofcourse I do get quite stressed when I discover that no body has responded to any of my post but I soon get over it.I once wrote a series entitled "Aliens" and I planned to have it in three parts.Although no one responded to part one I went ahead and posted part two,then when no one even sneezed at part 2 I decided that posting part three would be a complete waste of time.You know even if I say so myself,I think my Alien series was very good and even if people did'nt want to read it the loss was not mine, as I have posted it on other sites and got a lot of positive feed back.So please do not curse yourself if you do not get any responses for some of your posts.LOL!!!!

I dont think people are quitting discussion if it is lengthy mylot pays more when the discussion is of good quality with 10+ lines in it...
most of the times i have found too lengthy discussion which really wouldn't be intresting may be because of that people dont actually respond it and save their time in responding to other discussions .Even i had many Zero responses at the beginning and now i feel that i dont have that much zero responses as of now.Even i was hurted when nobody responds mine but i never cursed me for that i dont care for anything whoever is responding mine will get a positive rating and if qualified best response if not they are in loss.. i dont mark any one negative i have never marked any one negative so anybody can pass their views in my discussion

For me, I post a discussion to express myself. Expecting responses is not my primary preoccupation. Actually, I get surprised and encouraged when responses start trickling it.

i feel bad. but i have got habituated since last one year and half. I never have the luck of getting many responses. it is something i have noticed.so its not something new to me. there are some users who know magic. all of their discussions get so many responses.

it happened to me for so many times, and til now. not just being ignored for 24 hours but for 6 consecutive days.
, but it's OK. maybe they find my discussion to lame to answer, or like what you've wrote in there, they find it too lengthy to read and lazy to answer. well, I can't force them to answer into my discussion if they want to. and I get use to it anyway.

! wen some one not respond to my discussion i just anlyze once dat wat was mater or topic in it.and it is funny dat some time i got dat the matter is very much near to lots of dscussion so i think unique interst and real intrest do the magic

I had no problem in someone or anyone responded to my discussion, i don't mind. It's just the time weather people gets interested in discussion if they had the ideals and the words to gives advise. It's just slow as i can says.

I sometimes raelly find that irrespective of my very good topic.I get less responses.I initially was very upset,but then I tried to find out the resasons.I felt that there are ways by which you can get more no of responses.You try to make more and more friends and add coments to the responses that you get.Sometimes when you find that you get a very good response try to reeard it by maring it best response.If you follow these steps may be you don't have to be disappointeed.
But at the saame time try to post a valuable and worthy topic.

I sometimes do curse myself if my discussion is not responded, as I have started such a discussion which cannot even have 1 response. But later a kind soul comes and responds to my discussion making me feel better.
I usually try to get better and better if my discussion is not responded. I take help from my friends by asking them their interests and picking out the common out of it. It does helps. Try it. I hope this discussion gains lots of responses.

discussion is do a disscussion,a variety topic on mylot everyday.if some topics
are not interesting ,people who are not respond it surely.i just responded
the discussion which is my interested in. i heve never been published any discussion on mylot,but i like response some topic that i have to try write sth to improve my english.

No i dont curse myself if no one responds to my discussions but i do wonder why sometimes but i guess they just didn't find the subject as interesting as i did i just say oh well, and just post a new discussion or just respond to other members discussion's.

I don't actually curse myself for doing such a thing. I do feel bad about it. But then next time I try to make better discussions that would drive people to replying to my discussions and that's what all should do basically.
Also summarized writing wouldn't help that much. The more descriptive you are the more is your earnings i guess. As far as I'm concerned I reply as much as possible to make my self clear as to what I'm trying to say.
