How Long Have You Ever Gone Without Listening To Music?

I have been crazy/busy with a big project for the last three weeks, and I just simply had not been able to sit down and listen to music at all! The noisy and loud voices of this neighborhood, the grinding and hammering sounds of construction, and the booming noise of car stereos all finally got to me so much, that I was about to drop this project and pack up and move to the flipping mountains for a month! Just then, I remembered what the real problem with me was... I had unknowingly neglected my need for gentle and relaxing music and stupidly turned too much of my powerful senses toward the Outside World and this project! DUH! I'm now listening to the beautiful music on my Mylot profile, and I will never allow so much time to go by ever again... The solution was right in front of me all of the time! Have you ever noticed a change in your health and happiness when you've gone without music for long period of time? I am sure that it wouldn't have been as stressful If I lived in a Natural setting, I don't need music as much in the Forest because I love the sounds of Nature! :)

It's odd that I would go for so long without my musical interludes... I am re-establishing my Music Hour, and limiting my attention to the Outside World's turmoil... Healing, Health and Happiness is what it's all about, and I wish you well with your Music!

Hi peaceful! I definitely can identify with that! I was just thinking the very same thing yesterday. My girlfriend and I had gotten together for a friends day out! We hadn't seen each other in a few months because of her hectic schedule. She has 2 teenage girls! So we were riding around, doing errands, shopping, going out to lunch and she had the stero blasting and she was singing to every song on the radio and I realized what had been missing in my life too! Music! I haven't been turning on my radio or stero either. I felt so good when I got out of the car and realized that part of it was seeing my best friend and the other part was hearing music and singing along with the radio! So yes my friend I really do understand! I have also let the sounds around me affect me too. I have noisy neighbors, cars speeding by and all I need to do is put the music on and I should be just fine! I love the sounds of nature, but unfortunatel I live in the suburbs with PEOPLE so that's out!

I enjoy Gregorian chants, too, Kavin! They are soothing and great for meditation and stress relief! Thank you for responding and for your excellent suggestion! Have a great day!
