I have used Norton back in the 90's. By that time, their performance was not satisfying though. It was efficient in detecting and curing the infected files, but the speed is not optimized. After graduated, I use the company laptop or computer only. Therefore, it depends on the IT department preference of anti-virus to use in our computers. Due to this, I had used Mcafee, Sygate, AVG so far. I believe most of them are quite similar in function and I do not really know how to differentiate their pros and cons. But I believe, the latest will always better than the earlier ones. So, I think "Norton Internet Security 2009" will be performing better than its predecessors.

You are most welcome. And thanks to you too for responding to my comment Definitely they will. With major modifications, we users are expecting greater improvements in their anti-virus software capabilities. Hope, things are getting better, thus our computer are safer with them. Ya, that would be great, to let us know about the latest release notes of Norton.

I was a Norton user but later I changed to AVG and lately to Avast which I found it better than the other two.

I need to check out online these two that you have mentioned. I know Norton has slowed up my computer in the past - so annoying! Thanks.

Well I have Norton Internet Security but not the 2009 and I herd it has been modified a lot, that's why I am trying to get more information from people before I upgrade. My subscription should end soon. It sounds like it's good.
