What would you do if the love of your life died and left you with the kids.

I had a crazy dream the other night that my wife died and obviously left me with our 11 month old son to take care of. I was totally miserable and had to make myself have a whole new outlook on life. It bothered me some because i woke up thinking to myself what if that really did happen, i would be totally devastated! It's amazing how much we rely on each other for the simple things of having a kid and once those are gone from you, you just don't know where to begin. It was the craziest dream and i am going to do anything in my power not to have that dream again. What would you do?

I have had these sorts of dreams myself and it affected me for a long time after. I do not know what I would do, for a start my hubby is the breadwinner so it would have a huge impact on me for I have not had a job in over 9 years. I would not have to worry about the house as it would be paid off but I would have to find a way to be there for the kids and put food on the table. It does not bear thinking about really it is a horrible feeling.

Dreams like that are horrible and I never wish any harm on you or your family but sometimes we have dreams like that to show us really how difficult the other person has it. To make the other one really appreciate them more. I sometimes wish my bf had a dream like that. He seems to think it's easy as pie to take care of a child and a house and seems to think that being a stay at home mom, isn't contributing to the house! Dreams like this really opens peoples eyes and make them realize how much work is really involved and SOMETIMES that person who had the dream will actually start helping out around the house and with the kids a little bit more. I'm not saying that you don't or anything. It just helps with the appreciation thing. Good luck on not having that dream again.
