hey nikejean I see you have a very unique problem. people with some sort of addiction generally experience a little uncomfortable feeling after the quit the habit...as a part of the withdrawal symptoms. But i guess three years is long enough a time to overcome it. Smoking would have definitely weakened your immune system & the symptoms may be an overexpression of this. I would suggest you visit any immunologist & tell him about the proble. In any case, don;t revert back to smoking. It kills,u must be knowing. Stay healthy. have a nice time at mylot.

hai friend, its odd to say that you are sick after you quit smoking. Even my brother quit it before a year and he is fine and good. May be there is some othere problem with your body. Try to have a medical check up with the doctor. And if you ask my advice then i would ask you to eat lot of spinach which may help to overcome your problem.

hi nikejean! i don't smoke and never liked it at all. i don't really know any rationalizations about a person quitting smoking then catches sickness whether a flue or cough and colds. and i have just thought right now one reason could be is the change of weather daily.. one day it rains then the next day the sun is high up the sky which does not expel cold winds. i find this the reason may be why you get sick. if you have alredy stopped 3 years ago then i think it will be different now.. happy posting and happy mylotting!

It would have happened anyway, quiting did not cause it. Smoke only causes damage there is nothing good about it.

I believe for some reason what you are experiecing now is the outcome of being a smoker.

I've never really heard of anything, quite like this. What I would say is, there are probably quite a few other factors involved. Also, and I quote, "I am always saying that since I quit smoking three years ago I am always sick". So it seems there maybe a large psychological component here; that you have almost convinced yourself, that this statement is true. Secondly - this is just a feeling - it could be a healing reaction; after all, when you gave up the smoking, you were sixty, and so your body maybe clearing itself of all kinds of nasties. It may well pay you to go to a naturopath and see what they have to say. Don't really think going back to smoking will help anything. Best wishes...
