Some A$$hole left him lying in a ditch

My stepson is in the Air Force in Wichita Falls, Texas. Last night some one hit him on his motorcycle then left him lying there and drove away. He is not doing well to say the least.
He is a wonderful young man, his wife is down there with him. We are not sure, but I am guess since he was still in training and had to be back in his room by 9 PM that he had gone to see her and was on his way back to his room.
We are sitting here waiting for the phone to ring, looking at airlines websites not sure what to do.
I was taking a shower when I realized that some of my wonderful My Lot friends may know people in the area and might be able to help us find the person who did this to him.
Please any help is appreciated.

I am sorry but I am not in your country, let alone this area so cannot assist you with this. But I am totally disgusted that someone could do this to another human being and then leave the scene. What is wrong with some people?? I hope that they not only get caught and imprisoned for this but their conscience eats aways at them for eternity for committing such a reprehensible act. I wish your stepson every blessing imagineable on his path to recovery Debs.

He has some bad injuries, but he also has alot going for him. Its amazing what determination will help you overcome. I wish him well, he has youth, his strength and health going for him. It won't be long and he will bounce back. Take care. I hope the authorities find whoever hit him an left him.

Well, things seem to be getting better, he is a strong, healthy determined (stubborn) young man. They did not expect him to make it through the night, but he did and he is moving both arms and 1 leg (he has 2 broken legs and a broken hip as well as head injuries - they did surgery on the brain this morning to remove a clot), he is responding to verbal direction but his pupils are still not reacting.

I don't know your name, but I'm going to call you Deb. Being far away, I cannot even help you. I know whatever we say is not really going to console your family and especially his wife. But our prayers are there for your stepson to get back on his feet again. I do believe in God and praying with faith will really pull him through. If you could log into www.jesuscalls.org and read the message therein and say the prayer, I'm sure Jesus will help you through. There is a prayer request form which you could fill in and send. The prayer warriors will keep on praying for your son to get well soon.

omg that is so awful! I am so sorry this happened to him, you and your family. He risks so much for his job...he shouldn't have to worry about getting hurt when he isn't working--and it's said that people do still have to worry about going about their everyday life. I can not believe he was left in a ditch like garbage! og my god, that shocks me! Who found him? Any idea how long he was there??
I am sorry I don't live there, and I know nothing about who hit him. But I really hope taht he makes a full and fast recovery!!!! You have the best of my wishes.

Well reports say he was now left on the road and riding a bicycle and not a motorcycle. At this point we don't know who called the police or who hit him. But the case is now being treated by the police as a homicide.

Thank you. His wife (the poor thing) is a widow at 25. She had his sperm harvested so you know a grandchild from him would become royalty.

How awful! I am glad that he is still alive. I hope that you find the person that did this to him quickly! It is a shame that they did not stop and help him! I am sorry I cannot be of more help to you!

He is no longer alive, but he was an organ donor so hopefully today some people in the world are waking up with more hope then they had yesterday.

I'm so very very sorry to hear about your stepson Deb. Wish there was more I could do from my end, but you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything turns out for the better and the person who hit and left him there, the proper justice is brought to him/her. *hugs*

Well things are looking up this morning and they better find that person. I am not sure if there is justice for someone who can hit another person then leave him to die.

people have gone crazy to hit someone and just drive off no concious at all i hope they find who did this act.and the law teaches them a lesson.

Wow. No words that I could say can make this any easier but I am truely sorry for your situation. You know, when they find who did this, he will not only suffer the wrath of the state but also the wrath of the military. They dont take to kindly to this kind of behavior to one of theirs. Please keep us updated and I pray that everything comes out good for you.

I am so sorry for your loss. It would be a miraculous thing for a grandchild to come of this. I do hope that they catch the murderer and that they hit him with all they have...My thoughts are with you...

I am so sorry to hear this. I don't how people can do this and just walk away. I'm sure the police will do everything they can to find the person. If I lived nearby I would definately help you.

I wish I knew. It is one thing to have an accident. It is completely different to leave someone lying on the road after hitting them.

Oh honey I am so sorry. That just makes me really sad. I mean how can someone do that to someone else? I really just can't understand people sometimes. The least you can do is stop and help him out instead of leaving him there like that. I wish I could help but I live nowhere near you. I just hope that you guys find out whoever did that and that you stepson gets better. With his wife there he should get better quicker. Good luck and take care.

I sure wish I could help you but I wanted to share my condolences and pray for your stepson. It is horrible to leave someone helpless like that. It certainly wasn't right. Things could have possibly turned out different if this person that hit him would have stopped and at least stayed with him until help arrived.
At least the person could have been there for him for moral support.
The character of this person is certainly not favorable to say the least as to just making a hit and run. I am sure that your stepson is a wonderful man as you say and God willing he will be alright. I am so sorry for you.
