train, would you try to locate the owner if there was no identification on it? I think I would put out an ad, and if someone could describe the item perfectly to me, I would return it to them, or take it to the police department. What would you do?

One Time I found a $400 jacket, Yes 400 dollars. I had such a really bad intention of taking it and keeping it or even selling it, but i guess the best got of me and i just gave it to the Bus Driver, i didnt tell him it was 400 bux and the next day when the kid got it back, he gave me a 20 dollar bill but i didnt accept it. Now when i look back, i feel really good about myself.

You did do the correct thing, and it was nice that the owner wanted to reward you, and nice that you turned it down

i would give it to the nearest police station so the person whose property it was he would get it

I would definately try to find the owner of the item, because that is what I would want to happen if I lost something.
