You're a good mom!

Today my daughter said those words to me. She said,"You're a good mom!" I couldn't have been prouder or more honored than for her to think of me as a good mom. Really, her opinion is most important to me, cause she is the one on the receiving end of my mothering skills. If I'm not doing a good job, I'd want to know. Same would be true if I'm doing a good job. Do your kids ever tell you that you're a good mother or good parent?

My 12 and 13 year old boys have told me that when I was feeling as if I wasn't a good mom. That made me feel much better. Now my 18 year old son is a horse of another color, lol! Take care and God Bless!

Aww.. how sweet of her to tell you that. My son is always telling me that I am the best mom in the whole world. Although I think he usually says that when he wants something.

It is cute of your daughter to compliment you. How I wish I can hear this from my sons. They really never show their emotions in me. Not getting some kind words from my sons really make me feel that I have not been a good parent to them.

Men are not very good at showing emotions or saying pretty words. Sometimes, we have to remind them that we need to hear the words. Perhaps they do not know this. Best of luck!

I'm yet to be a Mom but I sure hope my son will tell me in the future that I'm a good mom. That'll be one of the happiest days of my motherhood. As a daughter, I always let my Mom know how much I appreciate her kindness and gentleness. I admire my Mom so much. I am always vocal in telling her I love her and that she's the best Mama in the world. My Mom deserves all those beautiful words, I don't know how I can repay her goodness. I'm sure you're a good Mom beautyqueen, keep it up!

No, not yet.. My oldest son has told me good job many times.. I can see the appreciation in their eyes.. Just the way they show me love makes all the difference.. I am pretty sure that when my kids get older, they will tell me this and many more.. They are such bright kids. And so is your daughter. Your heart must have melted when she told you this!! You are a great mom, I can tell. Continue to love her as she will do the same thing for you!

If I were in your shoe I would feel the same what you felt when your daughter said that to you. I am not a mother yet, but acted as a mother for 5 and 2 year old children. It was really a great feeling when the kids loves you and appreciate what you have done and doing for them. They may not be telling me a good mother, but they always tell me "I love you MOMMY! Thank you" It is a great music to my ears. Friends and relatives told me that they're wishing that the kids is so lucky to have Mommy Marfel beside them..hehe. I may just their aunt, but I did the rule of their mom.

Hello beauty queen. It is so relieving to hear your daughter say you are a nice mom. I think that it is the best gift and reward that a kid can give to her mom. For sure your daughter has made your day. I am happy for you as well, my dear friend.

I have six children and they all have told me this at different times, in different ways. I can never hear it enough. Being a single parent, I am always questioning myself and doubting myself as a parent; especially when compared to two parent homes that seem so complete to me. I sometimes beat myself up or carry a sense of guilt for the things that I can't do that other parents can do for their children. Then out of the blue, one of them will kiss and hug me and tell me that they love me and think I'm great. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes.

i don't know whether you need anymore improvement as you already got an appreciation from your kid for being a good mom. As a student we need it from teacher , as a kid we need it from parents and as a parent we need it from our kids. So you have it now. So you are a good mom

I am soon to be mom and to hear my own child someday tells me that i am a good mother is the most wonderful compliment i would ever heard..I might cry if my child will say that. I am happy for you coz you have made a wonderful daughter who appreciates everything that you did for her. I wish my baby will grow up to be a sweet and loving child too.

I am blessed enough that I am told on a fairly regular basis. My kids both know that I take them into consideration when making a major life change, which has happened a few times in the past couple of years. When I am in doubt about something I ask for their opinion. They know that they don't make the decision, but I think they value that they have a voice in things. On several occasions, I have my younger daughter, (currently 7) come sit on my lap and tell me I'm a good mommy or that I'm the "best" mommy. It brings tear to my eyes every time.

I think every mother in the world would feel really really great if she hear from her children that she is a good mother. my kids are still young and I am not expecting to hear it from them... but if the time comes that I would...then I would be very very happy. my kids are the reason for every struggle and hardworking that i do and like you I want to know if I am doing it well. As of now, I think I am doing my part... because everything that I do is for their own good and happiness.

Not yet, but I look forward to it. He has said 'good job, Mommy,' which is also nice to hear. You are right, her opinion is what matters because she is the one in a position to know. Congratulations on receiving that wonderful compliment!
