What could America accomplish?

America is a country full of possiblities and opportunities. We are also one of the richest and most powerful nations on this Earth. So with that being said, what could America accomplish if the vast majority of it's citizens banded together in the pursuit of one common goal? A cure for cancer? Completly environment-friendly renewable energy? Settlements on the moon and Mars, for everyday people like you and me? Lets get creative, and think outside the box. I want to see if I can get at least 50 well-thought out responses on this topic. Thanks.
