I took my oldest daughter who is four years old to tumbling, after ten minutes there the instructor told me she had to go potty and told me to take her but I had me hands full with my two year old and my sisters nine month old...so the lady next to me told her daughter to help my daughter, and she told me that she would have offered by she dont believe that other adults should take children to the bathroom...and that in her house she has a womens bathroom and a mens bathroom because she doesn't believe that boys and girls should share a bathroom........Which I can see not letting strangers take my kids bathroom, because today the world is f-ed up, but who gets the bathroom if you only have one? Thats just wierd....I can see not using the bathroom at the same time but why cant boys and girls use the same bathroom?

That is the strangest thing I've read today. Kudos to you cuz I've done some serious reading today lol. You know I can understand the paranoia in the world today when it comes to our children. It's best to not trust than to trust other adults. But carrying that same paranoia into your home is somewhat disturbing to me. I think that children should have the feelings of trust at home. Statistics show that if a child is going to be molested in some fashion chances are it will be someone they are familiar with. If it's going to happen in the home, seperating bathrooms isn't going to help. To me it only fosters the issue. Curiosity killed the cat ya know?? I think that teaching privacy and the difference between good touch and bad touch is the way to go.

When I was married and my daughter was 1 year old...my husband (nw X) used to leave the door open...and you know guys stand...well my daughter thought that whn she got done going potty she was supposed to "giggle her skin" It took awhile for her to understand girls dont pee like that, and I made him shut the door...I mean he shut the door when he'd take a crap but not to pee....so? But yeah now I make my kids mind their own business when others are using the bathroom...they get in trouble when they go by the door cause I just dont want them disturbing or accidently seeing someone elses business...lol

Seems like she's a bit over the top. But maybe something happened to her in the past. Either to her, or about her family. People are so weird these days, you just don't know what to do. We have two bathrooms in our house, but we let the kids have one. It's decorated for them, and they can mess it up (and clean it up) all on their own, with some supervision on the clean-up part. The other bathroom is in the master bedroom, and my husband and I share it. No dividing of genders here.

If she wants to separate bathrooms, so be it. Ya never know if something happened to her as a child to make her feel it is necessary. She is doing what she thinks is best for her kids.

....she has four kids, lives with her parents, her parents are ministers of a private church and you have to be invited to go...to church? yeah.... If something did happen then why in hll is she there with her kids and not with her fiancee? Try putting that one together?

That's a little too strange in your own home. I have two bathrooms in my house and two sons and the upstairs one is more mine than theirs but that is just because they are too lazy to go upstairs! LOL I have all of my makeup and things in the upstairs bathroom but we have never specified one men's and one women's! That's just a little freaky to me! LOL

when my bf gets our house done...I tend to specify one for the girl when they get older, just so they can learn to keep stuff clean...but other than that...at my parents house if someones got business to do..they just do it, there's no his or hers...its just a bthroom

Bathrooms, Idk but I came up with that same rule for my place. Boys have one br. and I have my own..... But then we have one for both sexes......Still I have to usually wind up cleaning all three of them......

I diffently understand the stranger part. But the whole thing with boy's and girl's having there own bathroom in your own home is just weird.
