i was in a deep pit of frustration the last two weeks with how life has turned out for me, and honestly, i have almost given up on believing that it could still go back the way it used to be, when problems seem solvable, when all seemed real. i am not a religious person, but after days of refusing to ask for help, i turned to God and prayed. one night, me and my husband were talking and i was crying, and i asked him out of the blue if he wanted to pray with me and he said yes. from that moment on, i felt like the burden of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. even though actual help came a few days later, that night i felt like a different person. it was not a total transformation, like a miracle that i suddenly became religious and wanted to go to church every sunday (FYI: i don't go to church), but it was a blessed feeling of relief, something i have not felt for a long time. so i guess prayers have worked for me. has it worked for you?

I like it more the other way around, if i worked for my prayer. Why? because When we pray, it allow us to motivate our self to focus on God and to the things we prayed for. In order to achieve it, we work for it to happen. as the bible say, seek and you will find, knock and the door will open, ask and you shall recieved. Even if you prayed but you dont work, things will not happen as you wanted. Happy posting.

good idea. we have this saying in tagalog (our native language), "nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa", which means that although God may have mercy on us and give us what we want, it is still up to us to do the work to get it. nice answer

Of course .Many times I deeply prayed for achieving something. I achieved most of the times. Recently I I have a deep belief on prayers. I got success in my interview , in exams, in business and everything I got through prayers.

i'm not really a practitioner when it comes to religion but i do believe that there is God. i don't always pray too. but yes, there had been times that I prayed and it was being answered.
