I can't help myself today....I just feel evil

That is right I am feeling evil. I am generally not evil in fact I take pride in being fair and non-partisan. But the truth is that while I find both Obama and McCain to have both pros and cons to their campaigns and their ideas and I like Biden, well I can simply not find anything to like about Sarah Palin. Nothing that is except Tina Fey. Sorry I simply can't find anything positive about her. As a matter of fact she swung my vote. I thought about what would happen if McCain were to be incapacitated and we were left with Palin and the very thought of that result left me nauseous. But back to I am feeling evil. You are not alone. Countless independents and conservatives were turned away from McCain for the exact same reason. The majority of the endorsements for Obama coming from sources that have conservative reputations and/or endorsed Bush in the past all seem to mention the same VP pick, criticizing it for being obviously a politically-driven choice.

I don't know that I can even say that it was politically driven. I think it was pandering to the lowest common ground of the Republican constituency. So sad. She grates on my last good nerve. I can find nothing good about her. Nothing.

"I think it was pandering to the lowest common ground of the Republican constituency." That's what I mean by "politically driven". Instead of picking who'd help him govern, the campaign chose who'd help him WIN (of course, both qualities would be nice, but apparently the latter was a LOT more important, or else he wouldn't have chosen someone further to the right than Bush). Or, at least, who he THOUGHT would help him win. It seems pretty obvious, and you seem to notice this, that this choice was intended to fire up the conservative base, who had been lukewarm on him from the start.

As an Independent (that would mean I am one of those swing voters) I don't think liberals are right about everything. Does anyone know where Sarah Failin came up with "You Betcha"

No only liberals think they are right about everything.lol My guess is she probably didn't realize she was saying "You betcha" until people started mocking her for it. But they something to feed the monster. I think she showed them up on SNL last nite.

That was funny. Better than most political satire.

That isn't evil and if you think it is, you are a better peson than Sarah Palin. (Sorry... did I compare you to Sarah Palin. I think 99.9% of the public are probably better than she is so I would have to say if you count this as evil then you are a much much much much much much much better person that Sarah is.) ... good humor has a way of cutting through all the "junk."

It just gets funnier and funnier. I admit that I wasn't going to vote for McCain no matter what, but at least I had some kind of respect for him before he slid down in the gutter with Little Miss Jingo.

If i were you,i would not feel evil.Otherwise you can have a chance caste a vote to the people that you like. But we all have not got this right to decide which one would be our leader and not to mention which government would power on thc country.I envy your chance .

Freedom is an awesome opportunity and an awesome responsibility. It is unfortunate that we don't all take it seriously.

Thank you for thinking so. But that is pretty evil for me. I just had to share that one though.
