I was just watching HOUSE and House kissed Cuddy! OMG. I've been waiting for this moment for ever. I shouted "YES!!" loud enough to wake my son. lol. Did anyone else react to this episode? Did anyone really think that Cuddy was going to end up with the baby? I didn't. But the loss of the child opens up new possibilities for Cuddy to possibly have a baby in the future. What do you think this means for House and Cuddy? Is it possible that House could father her child? Or is he too involved with himself and his own pain? Is the reason he's always acting like an @ss to her simply because he really likes her, as Wilson suggested in his "pigtails and 8th grade" comment? Does he simply not know how to convey his feelings? And will this relationship develop into something real for them both, or will he simply push harder to be an even bigger jerk to her? He sure picked a hell of a time to make his move. Was it because he felt she needed him because she was going through such a bad time?
I love me some House and Cuddy. What are your thoughts on this episode?

My first thought was that someone was dreaming!! It shocked the heck outta me! As far as Cuddy getting the baby I didn't think she would because judging by the previews I thought the baby wouldn't make it. I do think that House has major feelings for Cuddy but I don't see them ending up together, at least not any time soon. It is hard to tell if the pain in the @ss thing is because he likes her because he is that way with everyone. He definately has issues conveying his feelings, I think that is why he is the way he is! But yeah, I don't think they will end up together because I think that would require his changing and I don't see that happening either. That is part of the "charm" of House I suppose. I think he kissed her because he could see in her eyes how much pain she was in and it really got to him. Anyways, all in all it was a really good episode!!!!

You make some really good points.
I don't know if he kissed her because she "needed" him at that moment, or what. It probably wasn't the best time to introduce a whole bunch of confused feelings. But it made me so happy. lol. I can't see them working out either. I don't think she could "change" him, and if she did, he wouldn't be happy. But the whole premise of the show, and something that's been said over and over is "you can't always get what you want." So we'll see. I'd like to see more of this story pan out, and see how House might evolve. I think for his sake he needs to find something in his life that makes him happy; something that makes him think about more than just himself and his pain. If Cuddy can do that for him, great. Just as long as he doesn't end up destroying her in the process.

For sure I reacted. It is about time. They have been playing cat and mouse with each other. I kind of figured that she would not end up with the baby. I think that House wants her to have his baby. Do you remember when she was trying to find a donor and he shot all of her options down? I think that they are going to keep playing the cat and mouse games to keep us watching. But yeah I do think that House wants Cuddy.

I remember Cuddy sort of alluding to a past relationship way back in maybe the first season when she told House to stop staring at her @ss and making rude comments, that he had his chance and that ship had sailed. I think they were together before and his being a jerk made things impossible. I was also thinking about it last night and thinking about his "if you're happy, I'm...." comment last week. If she's happy and moving on with her life without him, he's utterly lost. The only time he really seems to come alive is when she walks into the room. And when he was trying to figure out what was wrong with Amber and he was "on the bus", who did he fantasize about? Cuddy. I'm not so sure if he necessarily wants her to have HIS baby, since I don't know if he thinks he'd be all that great a dad, but I think he wants them together and has no idea how to go about that without putting himself into a really vulnerable place.

I loved the episode. Though I have admit that I was shocked when House kissed Cuddy. I think a lot of it is because I don't think House being that type of guy. As much as this has been insinuated for a long time, I'm somewhat happy. But at the same time, I think that this may lead to a lot of other problems. I may be wrong but this is just my feeling.

Unfortunately the mother decided not to give her baby up after all and now Cuddy is on her own again. Did you watch the episode?
