Well it seems that we are finally getting some relief from the hot Florida sun! Last night it was forty five degrees, and it's only fifty one now at 10:00 in the morning. Bbbrrr for us Floridians. I didn't think I'd ever be cold at that temperature, boy was I fooled. It's time to make a pot of soup! My all time favorite is Pasta Fagioli, that is macaroni and bean soup. It was a tradition in our family to eat it on Friday. You see my mother was Roman Catholic and observed the "no meat on Friday" tradition so it was Pasta Fagioli and fresh home made bread! What's your favorite soup?

My favorite soup is your Pasta Fagioli!!! No one can make it like you! I like to make Chicken and dumplings this time of year. Thats some thing I can make but can't compair to your moms. I still find it funny that two people can follow a receipe to the tee and still it comes out different!

I didn't know that! Thanks. I know what you mean about those recipes. You have to be there with the person and act out everything they do so you get it exact.

I've never heard of Pasta Fagioli...could you send me a recipe for it? I love soups in the winter too...of course, chicken noodle (homemade) sometimes with dumplings, cheese broccoli and my favorite, cabbage and sausage. They are all good and really filling. Sounds like a very nice soup to have. Can you share the recipe? I am a sucker for soup. And I love to eat soup. Easy to prepare, and a all round nutritious meal for the family! Best if you can add a picture of the soup you prepared. Looking forward to the recipe!

My favourite soup is Chicken corn soup. It is the best soup as per me. it tastes good as well as being rich source of energy. I like it real thick with a lot of corn cobs added.

I am a Chinese, my favorite soup is pickled cabbage and pork tripe soup. It tastes a little sour and a little hot, very delicious, and make you want to eat more. My another favorite soup is minced beef and tofu soup, very easy to make and delicious. Drink some soup everyday is helpful to our health, help our body to get plenty of water and help us digest the food we ate. Drink soup everyday!

Hi redkathy. I know what you mean about the cold in FL. It was down int he 30's a couple of nights ago. My favorite soup is probably ministone or bean and bacon. I like so many kinds of soups it's hard to decide which one is my favorite. I don't make homemade soup much. When I fix a can of soup, I usually fix something like a can of veg or ministrone and a can of bean. Have a good lotting day.
