How would you make them taste better?

My hubby went to the grocery store. He meant to get some frozen waffles. He grabbed pancakes instead. The microwave kind. My daughter doesn't care for them too much. And I have to say neither do I. Syrup and butter do nothing for the taste. Not wanting to waste food, what would you do to improve on the taste?

I would put some butter on it. Plus dash some cinnamon on it. And bring out the raspberries, peaches, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries... And here you have it your best tasting pancakes! This should spice up the appealing of your daughter's breakfast! And yours as well!

And if you are into a little extra, just reduce the amount of fruit, but still add it. Dab some whip cream on top of the pancakes. Serve with a side of eggs and bacon, sausage links, or patties.. It is your choice..

Maybe try smearing some peanut butter on them and eating them that way? Another idea is dipping in honey. If that doesn't work, perhaps using them for an after school snack with a cooked hotdog in the center? I have never tried these and can just imagine how bland they are! I hope something works out so you don't have to toss them in the trash!

Peanut butter was going to be my first suggestion. The hot dog idea sounds like it might be ok too.

I don't know what others have suggested but have you thought to make them into like french toast with eggs, milk and vanilla and let it soak in and fry it. My cover the taste pretty good.

I would try them with strawberry jelly. I like the jelly and syrup on mine, but they might be too sweet for you that way. My kids love the frozen pancakes, so you want to send them this way:)

I don't know.. I favor neither frozen waffles nor pancakes. They are, to me, essentially toast. Butter with Syrup is all I would normally do, but I have heard fruit toppings or powdered sugar are enjoyed by some.

I would use them to do peanut butter-and-jelly with. Or I would cover them with chocolate sauce and bits of fruit (probably sliced strawberries, but bananas would be good too).

first of all your hubby should read labels but i understanf the mistake because at my grocery store they are side by side!!!! so it is an easy mistake!!!! but what i usually do is add cinnamon nutmeg and ginger and honey and some canned fruit such ans pinapples or apple pie filling or something and some whipped cream and sausage on the time!!! sometimes you have to spice to make them tastes better i do this with many meals!!! good luck with your pancakes!!!!! happy mylotting!!!! chow for now!!!!

How about spreading some cream cheese and strawberry jam on them. Roll it up and make it a quick breakfast. It sure sounds good to me. You could also take some sausage links and wrap the pancake around the sausage link and dunk it in some honey or syrup.

You could try a little honey or some cinnamon. Or you could go all out and top them with some strawberries and whipped cream. Of any kind of fruit and whipped cream. Or you could cover them with chocolate sauce. Or even top them with some ice cream. Do what ever you can to keep them from going to waste.
