Yes I got a new car. Well almost new and only temporarily. It's a rental while I get my Buick repaired or totaled etc. This thing is ugly as heck. I hate forieng cars and always have. This is a 2008 Toyota Yarus. Small as can be compared to my big Buick LeSabre. Small, ugly, red, and very dirty as wello. But it is 4 wheels and will get me around for now. I had no say as to the type of vehicle I got though as I did ask for a large luxury type. Right the body shop wouldn't pay for that. Oh well, have you ever been stuck withoput a car or with a rental you disliked and had no choice but to accept it? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

My problem with the rental vehicle was that I didn't want to give it back! When I did give it back and had to drive the old clunker I now have I was disappointed. Maybe one day I'll hit the lottery and be able to buy a decent vehicle.

My van - This is what I drive. It looks nice behind the trees. But don't let the picture fool you. The van is only showing its good side. The back is all dented in and bumper messed up. Plus there is a huge scrape another the other side not showing.
My neighbor was like that. She really liked her rental as well when her car was totaled out. So, when she was able to purchase another vechile. she got one just like her rental. But in a different color. Good luck winning the lottery. I am hoping to win it in my area as well. It would help out so much.

Yep, I have to agree with you. It is ugly...but than again its foreign. So, no matter how much it might hold. It is ugly to me. To bad your vehicle insurance wouldn't pay for luxury car. Or at least part of the bill for you. that would of been nice. I am glad you at least have something to get around in.

I don't like the smaller vehicles either. I never have. Heck I wouldn't even be able to get my family in a small vehicle liek that. Not enough room. Unless someone was holding one another. Which by the way isn't safe and I would never do. Thats why I have a van and hubby has a truck.

Yes, well Grandpa it sure is not as pretty as the car you had...but I am glad that they got on the ball and got you something to drive. I would hate to be without transportation. Yea, I had a lousy rental car before too.I do like the color, red, and it could have been uglier lol

Black Ford mondeo - A photograph of a Black Ford Mondeo. The same as my old one.
Thats a popular car here in the UK, but its an older one. I do like the colour though, but the car sucks. I miss my car too. I had a black ford mondeau until three weeks ago. I had to sell it as I could not afford the petrol to run it and now they slash the petrol and I am really mad. I miss my car too. I want it back. I hope you get yours fixed soon. I have never had an accident so I have never really had a rented car, but I thought I would write to you anyway.

oh man, I never heard of a yarus - anyhow, it seems that if this is a perk from the repair place, or the insurance company then the rental should be at least the same class of vehicle. I find enterprise rentals to be very reasonably priced and they always have good deals going on.... too bad they did not go that route.

Hey, don't knock the red color. Our car is red and our last one was red also. But ours is not a foreign car or small. Our mustang was small though and I would hate to have to go back to one that small again. At least you are not stuck with this one for too long.

I know it is hard to get into a small car when you are used to a bigger one, but look on the bright side. At least you know you are saving a little bit on gas right now because I know this has better gas mileage than your Buick. (Hey and it matches your hat!) In the past I have only had a rental car when we went on a trip somewhere. And when we did rent a car it was so much nicer than the cars we had at home that I didn't want to give it back to the rental company! I mean the cars that I used to have back then had roll up windows and no air conditioning. I was so happy to be in a fancy modern car. I guess it just depends on the circumstances involved. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

I dig the color because I like red but I know exactly what you mean by foriegn. It's just not yours and I say dealerships and car garages should lend people better vehicals. All they think about is giving the customers anything and saying well it will get them from point A to point B. We should have a choice in what we would like. Have a great day

I don't think your rental car is so ugly. It is just rather small that is all. I really like big roomy cars too. I have a big luxury Chrysler myself so I understand where you are coming from. Hopefully you will get your own car back soon.

Yes I have. I had to drive a dodge neon as a rental when my first car was totalled. I hated it. You can't see out the back window except through the rearview mirror. I wasn't comfortable with that.

Wow, what year was your Buick LaSabre? Wow isn't that wonderful! We have two Buicks, one LaSabre & one Park Avenue (from 1997 & 2001, respectfully). HEHEHEHE I think that's funny that we have the same brand of cars. Well, we DID get a rental car before. Our car messed up, well basically we ask for a "basic" car. Well okay it was a 2007 (the year we got the repairs). I don't remember the brand of car. Well, it had roll up windows, no electric locks, no CD player. It was VERY plain & it was VERY small. I could not fit very well because I am tall. Thank you for your discussion. Pablo

I am so with you nothing beats a Buick!!! I had a Buick Century in fact I've owned two. My needs have changed so I finally sold it and I had to buy a van so I could haul my scooter around. I love my dodge van I really do but I will always be a Buick fan. I have been told Toyota makes a good sturdy vehicle but being all about Buick I never looked into it. Good you have wheels again. I wondered how Debbie got home after your crash and how she'd get to work. She doesn't drive does she? I hope they can fix your car good because I can tell you think the world of it which I totally understand. Happy Driving.

I once rented one car, and hated it so much that when they offered the same car the next time, I said no. they then offered the next size down, and I liked it a LOT better. WOULD you believe, the next size down had more HEAD room? I'm only 5', but that darn mid-size car nearly had MY head scraping the roof!

Oh car rentals . I had the worse experience in a car rental car because we thought it would be fiscally better to rent one for a vacation we went on due to the difference in gas mileage and the underlying fact that my family's car had broken down 3 days before our vacation. The car we rented seemed as though it had no paddings which made our 11 hour drive a living hell. I wish you much more luck with your rental haha.
