I have seen this cooked this way many times. Once it is cooked you take the spaghetti out to eat it. It is not baked from the oven but cooked from the stove. I love to eat it this way. You can add any kind of ingredients to it that you desire. I like mines baked too. What about you, have you tried Spaghetti from being cooked on the stove?

That's the only way I cook it. I boil my water with some salt in it to soften the water and give the noodles some flavor, then I heat up my sauce with hamburger or turkey meat in it and serve it. I usually have salad and Texas toast or breadsticks. I'm the pasta expert so my kids always want seconds. I've never baked it, I must know how you do that.

Hm, I've never eaten it any other way. You like them baked? How do you do that? What do you add? I always cook them and then just add any kind of sauce I can think of and then some cheese and yummy :)

This is an interesting question, because I've never heard of baking spaghetti in the oven and didn't know that this could be done! Here in the UK boiling it in water (usually for about 12 minutes) on the hob/stove is the normal way of making it. How do you cook it in the oven? Is there any advantage (health or otherwise) of one method over the other?

Wow!!!! I had no idea that you did not know anything about baked spaghetti! It tastes like you are eating Lasagna. It is so delicious! It has cheese on the top of it.. You have to boil the spaghetti in an pot.. Once that is cooked.. Then you add it to the baking pan first. Then you add the cooked ground beef. And then you add what things that you want on it.. Like salt, tomato sauce, pepper, bell peppers, onions, grated cheese, and then at the end, you can put the coating of cheese that you would like to have on it. The shredded cheese of your desired flavor is your choice.. Then once all the is done.. You put it in the oven.. But once you have the spaghetti and the meat in the baking pan, make sure that you mix this all up.. Plus the condiments too. You can bake it at 375 degrees. For, maybe up to 35 minutes. Now, you have baked spaghetti. It also depends on your oven, it may take lesser time than 35 minutes.. Enjoy!

Ooh, thanks for telling me about that, it sounds lovely, a bit like spaghetti bolognaise but baked in the oven, yum! I'll have to try it :0) From the answers below I see that I'm not the only one who hasn't tried this before. It's really good to find a new and easy way of cooking something!

I did not realise you cook spaghetti in the oven.I have only ever cooked it on the stove and I have found out if you put a little cooking oil in the boiling water it stops it from sticking and it tastes nice as well.Spaghetti is so versatile you can put fish, meat and any vegetable you like and any flavouring,You can make a real tasty meal out of it even it you use up your leftovers it is scrummy .

I have never had spaghetti baked in the oven. The only way I have ever made it is to boil the noodles and then add the sauce. The baked recipe sounds interesting, I may try it next time we have spaghetti.

I've never baked spaghetti. I usually cooked them like regular pasta. You boil it in water until it is al dente (right amount of firmness). Thats how it is usually done, as far as I know. Separately, you make the sauce, which you later pour on the spaghetti. I guess some people can put the cooked noodles on a baking pan, pour sauce and cheese on it and baked it, like you would make a lasagna. Maybe that is what you mean, but usually spaghetti is cooked in a pot of boiling water.

I've...never baked spaghetti O_O I've always just boiled it in water on stove top...in fact, it never occurred to me that some people bake it. I've always just boiled it, served it up...and then put tomato sauce and parmesan on...

Definately. That is mostly how we eat it here. In fact I don't think I have ever had baked spaghetti, I have had baked Lasagnia, baked mannicotti, and baked mostaccoli, but I have never had baked sphaghetti before. I am sure it is good, I have just never had it.

I have never actually made spaghetti in the oven at home. It is usually in a pot, even if I make the sauce myself. I know a lot of places cook the individual spaghetti in the oven, for some reason, I just have never done so. Though, does sound like it would be a little easier (not having to watch the sauce to ensure it does not splatter everywhere...) Will try it next time I make it. :)

Even if I am fully aware that spaghetti could be cooked in the oven, my mom and I personally haven't done this because we are used to cooking spaghetti on the traditional stove. I have tasted and eaten lasagna and baked macaroni before and I loved both of them. As Christmas season and holiday festivities are here, spaghetti is sure to be seen on the family's kitchen table. There are several ingredients which have been added eventually to the old recipe of spaghetti, namely edible mushroom heads, condensed milk, corned beef, and corn. I personally prefer the spaghetti with condensed milk and corn because it tastes sweeter than the usual style and admittedly, I'm a sweet tooth who loves sweets. And for this season, I will undoubtedly have a lot of servings on salads, spaghetti, ice cream, cakes, and pastries. I am looking forward for this feast of great and mouth-watering foods I guess I will just have to amend with my diet afterwards. Anyway, happy holidays, friend.

I have never hear of any other way to cook spaghetti than to boil it in a pot. I guess you can cook it anyway, but for me the traditional way I know of cooking spaghetti is boiling it in a lot of salted water, then draining it and add your sauce to it. I guess it can be baked after it is boiled, real interesting, I thought everyone boiled their spaghetti and eat it like that.

we always eat spaghetti cooked from the stove rather than from the oven. and it's true that you can add any ingredients that you want. in the philippines, spaghetti is prepared with hotdog slices mixed in the sauce.
