Both the cricketers are legends of india team. one brought india worldcup in 50-50 format and others in 20-20 format. i think both are legends . kapil already retired in the past. dhoni is now upcoming cricketer and making his best to the team. he have to do a lot for india in future. what about you friends?

I don't think one can compare the two.But still if it is the case Kapil Dev is better than M.S.Dhoni.Kapil Dev is a legend whereas Dhoni has just started off with his career recently.

compareing is not good i think both are good players and kapil played nearly 20 years back the technology was not developed this much but he contributed a lot to the indian team we got first world cup victory under him.but dhoni started now and he has many years to go if we want to compare them this is not the time after dhoni's retirement we can do that till that time compareing is not good i think

Kapil Dev and M.S.Dhoni cant be compared. Also i dont favour comparisons between two individuals leave cricket,in our day to day life.We all are unique. It seems you were born much later and you have just come across Kapil's name here and there.I have closely seen both of them.Kapil Dev's contribution for the development of Indian cricket is unparalleled. Not for nothing he was chosen by Wisden as the greatest indian cricketer of the century. He inspired a whole generation of youngsters for whom pace bowling was a taboo to take up fast bowling as a career.

Hi chandu, I personally feel we can never COMPARE any 2 cricketers of two different eras! Different eras have different :- 1. skills 2. perspectives 3. approaches 4. conditions 5. competetion So I could never compare the two !!!
