Did you get a chance to pick up some deals today?

I always shop after Christmas for my wrapping paper for the next year. This year I got all of it half off. I also got some name tags. We went to jcpenny's and I got a shirt for $5.00 which was more then half off and some pants for my daughter. At walmart I got a nightshirt for only $5. which was half off and super cute. I did get some gifts for next year which are make up bags for only $2.5 which was half off. We usually go when the stuff if 75% off but we went early this year.

Oh no I didn't go out. As I have no money and if I would of went would of spent bill money. That is a big no no. I'm trying to be good this next year so started now. No more credit cards. If I don't have the money then that is easy it is no.Me getting back on track. Your friend onlydia

Nope, I stayed away from the stores. Am not a shopper anyway so the deals wouldn't tempt me. Our checkbook is safe..lol We stayed home most of the afternoon and then went to one of the local casinos, played awhile and ate dinner. Just the two of us since our kids were busy. Today I am home waiting for the nasty weather warnings to end and later meeting one of our kids for dinner.

Hey there. I am trying to count backwards to the day you wrote this and I'm thinking you posed this question on the day after Christmas. Yes, I did get out and go shopping that day and I got some pretty good deals. I got 3 pairs of slacks, a crisp, white blouse, a nice 3/4 length sleeved coral colored sweater, a fuchsia-colored t-shirt, and 2 pairs of low-heeled shoes (navy and black for work) for about $120.00 . I thought that was a great deal. Then, I went down to Macy's and got a $64 purse for $23 and change. I was pumped. Your Christmas deals sound great. I am envious of your new Christmas tree, I've been looking for a "permanently decorated" tree that is 4 feet tall or less that I can just whip out of a box and plug in. I bought an 18 inch one (I know, I know, how pathetic is that) after last Christmas and was majorly p.o.'ed when I had to actually place the lights and ornaments on it, LOL! I want my old 2 foot tree back that had that lighting at the end of the branches that changed colors, what's that called? Optical something or other, maybe? It bit the dust last season. Anyhoo, glad you found your skinny Christmas tree and other good deals.

The only after Christmas shopping I did was with my son. He spent all but a few cents of his Christmas money on toys yesterday evening. He was happy with what he got though. The 2 toys he got were ones he really wanted and they were on clearance. He also got a DVD he wanted.

Hi jillhill, We don't have after Christmas sales where we live and also the 26th is a public holiday. This meanas that the shops are closed. I envy you - despite cutting down on gofts the cost of food was horrendous and I am way over my budget. I wish that I could have bought all giots for nex year and just put them away. The economy inmy country is foing down the drain and things will get worse. I did save the Christmas bags though that gifts came in for next year to re cycle. Blessings

I dont think anything is open ehre today. but tommorrow there should be a lot of good deals, i dont know if we will go out or not. I dont have much cash left over from xmas. . but i do have a sears card... look out sears! lol. just kidding. i have never even used it.

No way Jose. I don't think I can handle the crowds. I was up at 5am and I went through a drive thru to get breakfast. The stores were already packed. I might stop by Walgreens today to pick up some necessities, so it might not be bad there. Although they too have massive sales.

We haven't been out yet, but we will be hitting the stores after my son's doctor appointment.

Hi Jill, No I didn't get out to any sales today. I will try to get to the shops for some bargains before I start back to work though and I also need to get a new Christmas tree as mine is beginning to look a bit sad even with all the decorations on it. I didn't go shopping today :( I spent a lot of my money on everyone else's Christmas gifts. Now I just need to save more of my money for the upcoming year and more birthdays to come. I'm glad you got to go out and take advantage of the sales!
