What sort of items do you collect and display in your Animal Crossing home?

I've got the entire "Mushroom Set" on the DS version. I also try to have one of every gyroid that I come across. Another thing I like to do is collect pictures of the villagers before they move out. The downside of the DS version is that your house is too small, even when you can't get it any bigger.

I really don't collect much of anything yet. I've only been playing a few weeks. I thought about collecting the gyroids and then I decided that I really didn't care for them much. My next goal is to try and collect pictures of villagers. Vesta just gave me her photo today and I'm pretty happy that I've got one already.

Getting pictures takes a lot of work.

I like to collect the villagers pics as well and I am currently collecting the regal and lovely furniture sets. Snowman furniture is "cool" for the time being (I killed it didn't I?). I think the gyroids are annoying as hell though. How did you get the mushroom stuff? I have been playing since summer and haven't seen how to obtain it.

There's a mushroom hunting week in early October. You give Tortimer any acorn that isn't rotten to get the furniture. You'll need 230 of them. I barely made it. Make sure you don't have too many fruit trees.

I like collecting citrus furniture, and bonsai! Also for every room I have a theme, like exotic, cabana, space. So I try to collect as much furniture from the specific themes as I can.

I usually put up all the bugs or fish that I have caught and think that are really cool. I might also put up some cool items I find at the shop. Besides that I don't put much up.
