I can say that Barack Obama is a man of Peace. He handle his speech during the transfer period with ease and confidence with his fellow Americans. He said it may take long but they can do it. The man is full of courage and hope for his country. I believe that the Americans will support Obama with his goal of having a peaceful fight against poverty. The world watches as he take his first step to glory. I am not an American and I live in one of the poorest country in the world. I have high hopes that Obama will set changes to making Peace as the core to prosperity.

It is important to remember that Obama is just a human being, the same as you and me. In the morning, he puts on his pants the same as any other man (or woman) on earth. He is NOT a savior, he is NOT a god. That said, I would also like to reiterate that Obama's position is that of President of the UNITED STATES. His first priority is to serve and protect the people of OUR country. If there happens to be benefits to other countries in that process, that's great, but America should be his first concern.

We all need to eat and take a shower everyday. These are needs we need to meet in our daily lives. But, there are also people bound to make a change for the world and Obama and some other of your forefathers have to take the risk to accelerate the quality of life of your countrymen and eventually other nations in need. Anyone can not give something that he/she don't have. Do not worry if Obama will not think of your stomachs first - the Americans. I only admire his passion to help his people and show good examples to the world.

We share one world. If you don't want to share anything don't show anything about your country on TV.

The greater percentage of Americans are not dependent on our government to "fill our stomachs"!

I firmly believe that he can bring peace to the world. Coming from a free country as its black president with so many discriminative people, it signifies that freedom is well preserved in his region. Yes, he was so nervous that he could not almost hear what the man in front of him was saying. Let us just hope that he will not feel the same way in making his decisions.

He did not forget what to say - the Chief Justice swearing him in did not read the oath to him correctly, saying the words in the wrong order. The next day he took the oath again saying all of the words in the proper order to fulfill the constitutional requirement.

I am so thankful that other countries also see that this President is so full of hope and courage and that he is trying to get other countries involved in peace. I believe that he is going to be one of the best Presidents that we will ever have and I believe that his policies are going to help all of us.

The whole world was watching for the huge change in America. The historical event was worth watching because Obama has had a speech full of courage and hope for his nation. Oh yes, he is going to be the best President in whole American history. The new step made by the Americans is what every nation should follow.

Being a "man of peace" and delivering a good speech does not nessesarily equate to being a good leader. Carter was a "man of peace" and a good speaker, but he was one of the worst presidents we ever had. Time will tell whether or not Obama will be a good president. It is far too early to tell, he was just inaugurated yesterday, we'll see. It is important to mention though that he was elected president of the United States, not the world or any other single country and his fisrt and only obligation is to the benefit of this country, not the world, your country or any other country. We didn't elect him to save the world or any other country in it, we elected him to serve OUR country and we expect him to fill his obligation to it and it ONLY.

Every president of any nation has to protect and render his service for his own nation. If the Americans put Carter into office by mistake. The Americans can kick him out of office too. That is the essence of democracy. Yes, we have to see if Obama will do good in his time. But, he inherited so many problems from your past presidents before him. He was right when he said that it may take long or short to take the lead again in this world. I believe that he is now facing the most difficult time of his life.

In a democratic nation the president, the congress, and the senate are checking each others actions. But, the soul of democracy is its people. The final say is given to its people.

As you seem to be quite informed about American politics - you should know that our President does not have absolute power - Congress has the ability to override any decision that he makes. That being the case, any blame for the current state of our country belongs not just to our previous presidents but to the members of Congress during those periods. For the past four years, Barack Obama has been a member of that very Congress! As for the current state of the world - the United States is NOT solely responsible - and is not solely responsible for fixing it! The actions of many other countries and their leaders are also suspect and they should also be held responsible. Perhaps it is time for all the people of the world to hold their own leaders responsible for their part in all of this!

Hi, friend, his message did provide peace a chance in this uncertain time in our world, he is more of a man of peace than war which is why it is quite worrying to us. By having say that, he will face powerful forces in USA that will see him as weak and conciliatory, there is high probability his safety will be threaten during his term by powerful interest group that want continue occupation of foreign country. I just have to keep my finger cross.

I wish Obama will find the way to stop this evil act of certain people in your country. It is not good to put food in your mouth that comes from the suffering of other people. It will be a shame to the security forces that provides Obama's protection as your president. I guess the Americans have learned from what had happened to Kennedy.

Thank you for the information. To secure your nation from any threat, force isn't always the solution. Think of the innocent lives at risk first to eradicate anger and humility. Peace talk will change the course of actions each conflicting nations are going through.

In case you haven't been listening, Obama wants to withdraw troops from Iraq....to send them to Afghanistan. He is NOT indicating that he intends to withdraw our troops from all war efforts abroad - he just differs with Bush regarding WHERE we should be involved.

He is the right man to run this country. Obama is a man with words, something like Martin Luther king. People that have a way with words mostly change how the future will be like. The bad thing I hear is that taxes are going up thats thats the only thing I dislike about this new year. Hopefully Obama will make the U.S. prosper and also other countries in need.

Let us just hope that every man who wants to work with him has a kind heart for his own people and other nations as well. Taxes must go up. Even here in my poor country taxes are soaring high now. What must be addressed properly are the corrupt government officials. They must be hanged or jailed because they are traitors to their country and its people.

I'll agree that he has courage, no coward would dare face the intense responsibility and opposition that comes with being President of the US. However, I think he's a man who thinks poverty is about money and rights are something that the government grants its people. I also have to wonder if he thinks peace means a lack of war... but the French chose a lack of war when Hitler invaded, but did that mean peace?

To change a quality of life you have got to have hope and courage. I believe in Obama so much, that he can make a big change for his country and eventually the world. For him to succeed in his endeavor he has to look back to what he had just said in his speech every time he is going to make a decision. He had said so many good things and it needs to be concreted.
