Some people are too picky when it comes to food. Would you eat the same dish which you had just yesterday?

If the food isn't spoiled, why not? I'm not very picky when it comes to food. We, Filipinos, give empasis on food preservation and it is evident in our common dishes: "tapa", "dried fish", "ginamus"....they don't spoil right away. Very discovery channel, right? LOl

YES. Besides I am not picky in terms of food. There were times I did that especially if there would be no other dish available on the table. I would be longing to eat that same food again and again especially if that would be my favorite. But if it's not I think it would be a case to case bases as what I said. I would rather eat that same food plenty of successive time than eating "air" successively....

I'm not really picky too but sometimes i do get tired and i would lose my appetite not because i hate the food but psychologically, it's troubling me.

If I like a dish I can have it often without getting sick of it but I do enjoy variety. At the moment we are trying a soup diet. We have soup for 2 meals a day but we have a different soup every time so it is variety.

Hocus Pocus Eyeball Salad - We couldn't possibly finish all of that in one halloween, so we saved it for the next day.
If their was lots of it left, sure, I would eat it the next way aswell. Off course only if this type of dish is suitable for saving it for another meal and doesn't go bad in the mean time. I know this other time we got a salad that looked rather funny, I am not sure whether or not this had gone 'bad'... lol! See the image.

yes, I do that when I have left over from yesterday. most of the time i finish my food the next day if they are left over. I prefer to finish my food as soon as possible before they become spoiled. it is a waste to throw them away food cost a lot of money here. but then cook left so there will not be left over. unless i am lazy i cook more for can last for 2 to 3 days in maximum 4 days. then i would seperate them into portion and put in different containers and keep them in the fridge.

I would not mind eating the same food as I hate the idea of food being wasted while there are people dying of hunger. It is estimated that the Brits waste a lot of money on uneaten food. i find that as obscene when there are third world countries which are plagued by hunger and people are still dying cos of famine.

Well, sometimes I used to ate the same dish especially if I don't have a choice since I don't know how to cook.. My most of the time our maid or my older sister are the one cooking for our food so don't have a choice but to eat what they had cook for lunch or dinner.. If ever I have my choice I will buy food outside but most of the time I will just eat the food they had cook for giving them some respect..

I don't mind eating left overs or food from the previous day. Sometimes it's more practical to cook a lot of something and then just reheat it for your next meal. Not everyone has the luxury of eating different dishes all the time, especially when you're living by yourself. Anyway, I can eat the same food for a week before getting really sick of it.

I would gladly eat the same dish as what I have the other day as long as I love the dish. If it is something that I don't like then I would think twice before having it again but if it is something that i love eating or should I say my favorite then I can eat it over and over again. nice topic. happy mylotting and have a great and wonderful day.

Yes, I love leftoevers and have no problem eating it until its gone if its good. Usually it gets better by the day for some dishes. I eat a lot of chicken and fish, and usually will have one of these in every meal. So I never really tire of those two, no matter how you fix them.

I was taught not to waste any food. As a result I have never been picky when it comes to food. As long as it is palatable I would still consume it, even if it was cooked more than two days ago. The point is the hunger needs to be satiated, not gluttony. I pity those who refuse to eat yesterday's food. I have met people who would not eat anything cooked in the morning at night time, always insisting on freshly cooked food. In times of calamity they would find it difficult to adapt, and the first to voice out dissatisfactions. all the best, rosdimy

Ah, well that's too impractical to be demanding freshly cooked food all the time especially when there's till extra food around. That's true, in times of calamity all food would be considered "fresh".

Yes, I do it sometimes. Some dish taste good after a few hours. I like chicken chili next day more than I like it fresh though I am not sure if it is healthy or not.

Yes, i don't have any problem with that. I'm not a picky eater even when I was small, we were raised up to consume only what is on the table and not to utter any complaints even if we do not like what is serve during mealtime. Our family is not that well-off that is why we have to abide by what our parents provide us with. And to avoid such situation of disliking the food already served during yesterday's meal my mom usually think of a way on how to recycle the leftovers into something that can still interest our appetite. For example if we have fried fish during dinner or lunch yesterday and there are still left for the next meal she will transforms that fried fish into something saucy like sweet and sour dish. My mom is a very good cook, and were very fortunate that she was the one preparing all the food that we eat, but sadly she's already gone two years ago, but my eldest brother inherited her cooking skill and he was the one who replace my mom in the kitchen...^-^

I had spaghetti three days in a row. I made some at my apartment one day, then the next day i had to go stay at my parents and had spaghetti there and the next night i was still at my parents and they were having leftovers and since there was still a lot of spaghetti, i had that again.

I have no problem eating leftovers. Sometimes I make a meal for the purpose of eating it two or three days. Most of the time the food tastes better the next day. I like leftovers, because I will eat them for breakfast, lunch or again for dinner. I have had leftovers twice this week so far.
